They had the Balls, and Actually did it!

honestly anything that makes you time travel will be safe. i think

But what if you infect the places you time travel too? Has anyone tried that? Because it needs to be tried.

So far everytime I get any sort of loading screen even a simple relog I lose the buff. I don’t know how to time travel without a loading screen do you?

Switch the zones before being infected?

But how do you get infected after you switch. Nothing there to infect you.

The person who came with you or the people who had the same idea and are already waiting there.

But they wouldn’t be infected either, you need to be infected to infect.

One or more people would already be infected and then they infect you after following you. It needs set up, obviously, since everyone involved needs to be in the same time instance which involves a trip to Chromie and then a trip somewhere to get infected and then a trip back into the past zone. Presumably on the idea that people might be hiding out in the past areas and now they get a face full of infection.

Just don’t see how it works. Time traveling seems to wipe the infection off. So you would get infected, time travel then lose the infection. Or someone else would get infected time travel then lose the infection. I don’t see how its possible to get anyone there to have the infection. Unless there is some glitch to get to those zones without a loading screen.

Step 1: Go to Silithus and talk to Zirdormi and have set the zone to pre BfA

Step 2: Get infected

Step 3: Return to Silithus. As long as you didn’t reset it back to modern times the old zone will still be there. There are no loading screens to get into this version of the zone.

This would also probably work with Theramore, Undercity and Darnasus.

Now why exactly anyone would bother doing this I can’t say, but in theory it should be possible to infect the old version of the zone along with anyone hiding out in the past. Which, being fair, would be a huge stretch when you have a Garrison available.

I see what you mean. Yeah I guess that would work if the time travel itself doesn’t disinfect. But atm it seems to only be tied to the loading screen.

I am actually incredibly excited for this to go live. I missed the first scourge invasions and always wanted to play them.

There is some weirdness on the PTR though. Accidentally aoe a rat or roach and you INSTANTLY turn into a zombie… Which is weird.

Aside from that there are probably too many of them in some areas.

Thats how you get the infection at first. Certain rats or roachs are infected.

Sure, but they shouldn’t insta-gib you. They should just apply the infected debuff.

Like… I was fighting a group of like 40 zombies on my blood DK and was perfectly a-okay and then a roach wandered into my death and decay.

…and one shot me.

Are you sure you didn’t get too many stacks of the infection? At some point you just pop into a zombie if you become too infected. Think it stacks up to 10 then it ticks down from there.

I will point out, for those of you who didn’t develop their garrisons, that all the vendor and AH npcs work in the past version of Undercity and Danassus.

Yeah, I was fine.

It happened again later while I was standing by one of the healers. A rat wandered by and I smacked it without thinking about it.

Thing died and I instantly died with it… To res as a zombie and be killed again by the healer.

It’s silly.

Oh yeah sounds like a bug that needs reported then.

That’s what I thought. I did report it.

It was hilarious but I doubt it was intended.

I have fond memories of the wrath pre-patch but I am kinda meh on just a “rehashing” of old content.
