While what happened to you is horrible, you believe that should be taken out for one person? That is the problem I have, it is horrible what happened to you, but you are one person. With that said I am happy for you that it was taken out.

i’m actually a little concerned now for future expacs if all of this stuff is being removed, a lot of it very harmless.
what are we going to do in the future if anything that can even be remotely “offensive” cant take place in wow?
I’m surprised they haven’t censored anything in SoD or SL with all the torture/death references.

You don’t know how many people are leaving because of this, so you have ZERO credibility. You’re offended about something fantastically insignificant and are behaving like a child having their toys taken away.
Worse you’re trying to justify it as reasonable by gaslighting others into thinking the game is going to fail because of it. Or that there’s a slippery slope (which you couldn’t model with a team of experts and divine intervention) that’s going to end up with consequences that justify your lame concerns.
You’re scaremongering to get your way and it’s unpleasant to watch. Especially when it supports behavior that a lot of people, although they would prefer otherwise, realize is probably for the best.

Out of all my female friends and acquaintances, I don’t know a single one who hasn’t been harassed and only two who haven’t been sexually assaulted (as far as I know - and I’m not including catcalling in the harassment section).
Most of my male friends have been sexually harassed and some of them sexually assaulted as well (though some are only now realizing men CAN get sexually assaulted).
If you think this is for one or two or a couple hundred people you’re wrong.
Of course not everyone who did get sexually harassed or assaulted cares about this particular line, but I’m pretty sure many of those who know about it do.

The og WoW team has already left the development many years ago so this censorship now is coming from the same people who:
- have been dragging the game through dirt for half a decade
- have been ignoring player feedback all this time
- have been found out to have severe employee misconducts
- have pointed the finger at the community regarding the cause of all issues and tried to gaslight, saying that PLAYERS are the problem
- have been sanitizing everything and burning everything out of the game instead of working on making the game better and adding more content into the game
And then they attempt to HARD guilt trip you, saying that if you don’t support these changes you don’t support the devs as people?
How can anyone with even a fraction of common sense support these devs? They are the same people who have been ruining the game through dirt and ignoring everything while demanding recurring payments to keep on coming!
I don’t care what their reasons are for “purifying” the game anymore - they are the same people who got it to the state where the game is right now and now they are “fixing” it all by removing jokes instead of fixing their own office IRL and fixing the tangled mess of the systems that they slapped on top of one another!
