I am waiting for the name change to the game. from world of warcraft to world of nuncraft. Yes i know this joke has been made before but. I understand removing the dev references to those who did really bad things. I also understanding removing other direct references so there are no real person references in the game. but come on this is over board now. this is pushing it to far. at this point they are starting at a very slippery slope . they need to back down a little

I think we should judge every change individually rather than forcing each other to take extreme positions of “all changes are bad” or “all changes are good”. We are all allowed to have differentiated opinions on all these changes.
E.g. I don’t understand the change of the paintings (doesn’t bother me but seems redundant), I don’t understand the removal of some jokes but I do understand the removal of some of the flirts and of the references to certain developers, etc…
With how many different changes have been made and announced, it’d be wrong to lump them all together in my opinion (unless, of course, someone does in fact agree or disagree with every single change).

But I do feel there should be a give and take. I feel like I have no say in this matter, and you’ve agreed as much earlier in the thread.
When we’re making these sorts of changes, there needs to be some give and take. Not “my way or the highway,” which is what we’ve had.

I don’t understand the removal of the flirts. I was fine with the pictures and NCPs being changed or removed. I was fine with the zone renaming. They even removed a chunk of emotes for no real good reason. Overly censoring a game is a bad idea. There is no good argument to why it should be done. pushing it to far will push players from the game . Less players playing wow is bad. we are already having major issues because of dwindling player counts . FF14 is on the rise as is new world and guild wars 2. More people are not resubing and trying out other games. If they continue to overly censor the game it will start to make people feel uncomfortable and not want to be a part if .

If WoW did absolutely nothing but bring back BfA right now, & multiply Freehold, Boralus, & the “daughter of the sea” storyline, by simply two, their users would double. Like it’s sad how easy it is. There was no shortage of people that warned what the discontinuation of these strengths would do. The big mistake that is always made is they listen to the elitist crowd, which only makes up about 8% of their Coronavirus lockdown record 7 million, and this crowd unfortunately has great strengths at raiding but has almost 0 idea of what makes this game successful to the masses. That is the bottom line. They did the same with Island Expeditions, which was WoW’s most successful and highest rated activity of all time, second only to Deadmines and Freehold. The same 8% said expediitons was garbage while 92% were having the time of their life. Until this stops, it will decisively be downhill.

There were times in our history that elected politicians were interested in compromising on issues. Imo one reason why our country is in such a mess right now is the lack of a willingness to compromise on the part of elected officials and the people who only adhere to one party’s agenda.

No, all of the changes were done in the name of a group of devs who feel they are triggered by these things in the game. The devs don’t care about what we want. They are injecting lunacy and SJW extremism into the game via mass censorship.

Funny you mentioned name change, had a hunter named Supertramp after the 70s rock band. Three days I was asked to name change, actually spoke to GM and he told me it was okay to keep the name. Three days later the same thing, GM told me that my name kept getting reported and there was nothing they could do about it.
