Shadow just got a massive overhaul and what the community wanted.
Hunters plea’s kinda fell on deaf ears. Just because we’re in beta now don’t lose hope. Shadow priest and hunter are my 2 fav’s, so I feel your pain. Keep speaking about changes/lack of changes and let your voices be heard.
During 1 of the dev interviews he said he actually mained a hunter, so it’s not like no one plays hunters there.
Maining Hunter in the Blizzard development team is a meme.
Obviously I hope they do provide Hunters with a massive overhaul. It would be good to see some positive changes to the class after so long where we just got dumped on.
This is exactly what I thought when I saw the changes to shadow today, and I don’t think hunter needs as much of an overhaul as shadow did.
In other news, the priest beta forums are reaching the hunter forum levels of toxicity.
This was my exact thought when I first saw the news on WoWhead.
Also, Ghostcrawler isn’t kidding. The priest thread is fun. 
Seriously, though; as I’ve been following the alpha/beta, I keep thinking back to how the Hunter class was literally the last class to be created in the original Vanilla beta and as a result, launched kinda halfway completed (hence the SV revamp in 1.7, and the class overhaul in Cata).
It certainly would be ironic if history repeats itself…
Seperate from the SPriest changes, I do still think there are (much needed) changes to come for Hunter.
Saying this, feedback is important, as has been shown by the SPriest community.
According to a lot of Shadow Priests, those changes are not really what they were looking for or what they wanted. And a lot of Spriests (from what I’ve read) felt like Blizzard has destroyed the spec.
While I’m glad something was done, I really hope the same thing doesn’t happen to Hunters.

No, the changes are very, very welcome by a good number of players.
hunter won’t get any changes and if u think that they will? lol!
blizzard is now yet another greedy company who doesn’t care about their community. it’s why i spend more time over on ffxiv we’re getting real content from devs who care.
Can we all speak up and keep posting asking for hunter changes, its the only way the dev team appear to respond
I will say, bard on ffxiv-- even though it’s 1 spec/job, is way more engaging and fun than all the hunter specs put together

What kind of overhaul is everyone hoping for hunters? I don’t really enjoy the class as much as I used to but right now I’m at a loss for what they could do other than making it possible to build old SV in the MM talent tree or adding a fourth old SV spec.
That’s not what I saw when I looked at the Priest Beta thread a few hours ago. The amount of players celebrating the changes are literally four times the amount of players who dislike the changes.
What I found the most interesting was that the players who loved these changes are the ones who preferred the pre-Legion model, whereas the players who hate these changes are the ones who preferred the post-Legion model.

Yeah it really did. There’s a big divide for Legion Marksman too. Some people loved it, some hated it. Some found vulnerable “too hard” lol.
I absolutely detested the Legion version. Nothing else comes close.
And Vulnerable was never hard. It was frustrating because of the RNG. Huge difference there.
Ryeshot - the head of the Idyllic Void Form crowd does not represent the Priest player base. BFA/Legion Void Form is like Communism - sounds great in your head, but absolutely horrible in practice.
Our changes are a HUGE step forward in improving the spec. I’ve been shaking with excitement for the past hour.

I sincerely hope that you dear Hunters get some of the same attention -Survival in particular. I’ll admit that I love Melee Survival, but even I know it needs help. Even if they totally rework it, if they can keep it fun and viable, I can let BFA melee Survival die 
So keep up the faith - I hope you guys get some love soon!
Priests were much more vocal and had many content creators supporting them for the changes. They also had communication before the rework. We have no indication that hunters are even on blizzard’s radar so I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
