Not quite, each of the upper level boxes awards around 700-850 rep. So more like around 16 of them to get from Honored to Revered.
Lmao, if I was a gold buyer I wouldn’t have 22 days and 19 hours of /played in Season of Discovery. I would play a lot less if I were just swiping instead of farming my gold legitimately.
Instead, I’ve literally spent an entire third of my life in the past 3 months since Season of Discovery came out logged into World of Warcraft.
Healthy? No. Worth bragging about? Also no.

Those are the lower band of the 26-40 boxes actually. Higher band of the new boxes to revered give 1000 rep each, or 1100 if you’re a human.

I found all of mine while Mining and farming Solid Chests out in the Badlands personally.
EDIT: They’re listed under the Rep Articles on wowhead. There are 5 waylaid supplies in the lvl 40 bracket that each give a base 1000 rep when turned in.

Really? I can’t imagine why anyone would. Why would I spend weeks farming over 1500 gold ahead of Phase 2’s launch if I could have just bought it instead?
Personally, I farmed about 5 million gold back in Warlords of Draenor. Spent that entire expansion becoming an Auction House Tycoon and making gold off of AH sniping and flips. Then I quit a month into Legion and wound up turning all of that gold into Battle.net Balance that I proceeded to spend on Hearthstone Card Packs for one of their many HS expansions.
When I then came back in Battle for Azeroth, the WoW Token had been introduced by that point. I was broke. Did I go back to farming gold? Of course not. I bought WoW Tokens with real money to make whatever gold I needed, played the game for like three weeks, and then quit because there was nothing to do.
I did this with Shadowlands as well. Bought WoW Tokens in order to make my crafted legendary because I couldn’t be bothered to farm gold anymore when the alternative was easy and legal. Only lasted 4 days in Dragonflight, so I didn’t even get a chance to buy WoW Tokens there.
Point I’m trying to make is that at least for me personally, the moment Blizzard gave me a way to buy gold legitimately, I used it and then quit the game shortly afterwards. Why would I bother sweating and playing the game 10 hours a day if I had all of the friction removed and could achieve any goals I wanted to achieve in no time at all?
EDIT: On the other hand why would I ever buy gold illegally when the chances of my 15 year old account being actioned and all my hard work being taken away from me are so high? If Blizzard introduced the WoW Token to SoD, I’d probably buy a few and then quit shortly after. But so long as they don’t, I’m quite happy farming gold legitimately and trying to save up for crafting a Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros in Phase 4.
I played with a guy in wotlk classic that bought oodles of gold. He “raided” on 8 different characters (1 with us and he was usually late). He’d create these montage pictures of all his characters and all their gear / GS.

Dude sounds crazy, but then it also sounds like he and I are fundamentally different people. I can’t even bother to deal with one alt let alone seven. I’m a single character sort of player and have been for 15 years in WoW. Guess that’s part of why I farm gold so often and then quit whenever gold farming is made worthless by the introduction of the WoW Token. Farming gold is my version of leveling alts in a way.

The rank rewards traditionally had updated versions for all level brackets. An updated cloak should be rank 3 still, and rank 5 needs a reward of its own, say, maybe, some decent bracers that are slightly lower stats than wsg

There is no chance that they had them ready to go and just forgot to add them. Did they ever actually add the additional honored rewards they said they had planned?
Exactly, I just treat them as a 20 silver item. If something worth more than 20s needs the space, I delete them
Is there a good way to farm these boxes. I’m several thousand from revered and I’m doing quests for gold, farming mobs but the drop rates on boxes are so low, like less than 1 per hour. maybe not even 1 per 2 hours. That’s an absurdly low drop rate. I want to get the alch recipe on my alt, but this rng dependent drop is frustrating.
