I don’t know about anyone else, but the LFG channel on my server is full of people using it like a global barrens chat, like in retail. It makes finding a group more difficult than it needs to be as people’s messages get bumped out really fast. This goes on all day everyday. I’m not saying it should be automatic or cross realm, but we need something. It’s going to be really annoying when the dungeon/attunement grind starts in BC.

Nah, just join a decent guild and/or start putting LFG channel spammers on ignore.

Putting them on ignore doesn’t help other people see your message. There is no harm in having a group message board. You don’t have to use it, you can sit and spam chat if you want.
People would literally use it to spam boosting groups. It would solve nothing

you can report the boosting groups in retail so you don’t see them and action can be taken againts them since its againts tos to post boosting offers in lfg tool, the updated lfg version of retail would not kill servers and would actually help ppl trying to form groups

Iirc, it was a window where you could post a group or look for one.
It wasn’t like the LFG today, but then again I’m one of those folks that wanted classic to get away from that. But I’d be in support of something more like the original, since it was already there.
It was added in TBC and honestly I’m kinda bummed it’s not in this version. It was great for getting groups. Also, for the people saying “it would be abused by boosters!” please note that the version we had was simply “You must be in leveling range to choose said dungeon.”, which instantly means no, you wouldn’t see a level 60 under Armory advertising.
get the addon Puggle, it filters out preset key words related to ppl looking for dungeons. Notifies u if someone says one of the dungeons u have checked

Yeah, but at the same time, I’m able to use it to form groups whenever I want. I pmuch ignore it the rest of the time (and even then, too).
Use an addon called LFG Bulletin Board, saves looking at LFG all day since it just saves what’s said across all channels and sorts it by dungeon.
