Hard factions only make sense for World PvP and at this point in the games life, it should only be an option.
Actually I think ICC was lore cross faction. Saurfang owed Wrynn a debt for allowing him to retrieve the body of his son which means (in my mind) that the Alliance won that fight in lore and proceeded to the death bringer battle with the horde then coming in behind them.
The next xpac. World of Warcraft: Kumbaya
World of Peacecraft. Yuck.
Thank God Classic is in two weeks!
Not true any longer. Chronicles retconned most of that and gave specific factions specific boss kills. BWL was taken by the Horde, while the Alliance took out Naxxramas, as an example. So all those people who played Horde and did Naxx back in the day didn’t canonically take part in the encounter.
But think of it! This can be the definitive crafting xpac! Also it can be released in two CE. “World of Peacecraft: The lion sleeps tonight edition” and “World of Peacecraft: Kumbaya oh Horde edition”. The first “raid” tier will have us fighting against bigotry, hatred, and human paladin privilege.
There are people -actually- invested in this faction war still?
Why…?
How…?
It’s possibly the most boring part of WoW, and only causes mechanical issues for players. I suppose there might be some RP elements to it at some point, but War Fatigue is a pretty major issue.
You can’t actually had an endless war.
What are friends
oh god, I forgot about that. nope. nevermind. I’m not for this anymore.
you don’t make peace with your friends. you make peace with your enemies.
Cross faction raiding/dungeons would be incredibly cool.
Of course… I’m just wanting to play an orc with all of my friends that insist upon being alliance.
you don’t make peace with your friends. you make peace with your enemies.
There is a difference between “peace” and “joining their faction”. You don’t just suddenly become friendly with people who burned thousands of your people alive, pillage your homes and defiled your fallen into undeath.
Some times you just kill your enemies and look for better friends!
Yeah, no one cares that other factions can group with eachother but still PvP in ESO. It would be better for the game if it happened here too.
Honestly, if I can still kill Alliance in the World then I really wouldn’t mind it.
I am an avid pro-Faction guy, but only because I do not want WPvP and conflict to stop happening. If Alliance became neutral in a instanced area (like a raid/dungeon)… then I really wouldn’t care.
Merge the factions.
This because it will fix many problems that currently exist.
Yeah, I mean I’ve been pro-faction merge since vanilla. My favorite rep-group in vanilla was the Argent Dawn specifically because of the dude in the WPL’s that said they don’t care about race, they just want to eliminate threats to Azeroth. THAT’s been the right attitude since the beginning, in my two Paladin’s opinions.
Remember when i cooked your kid in a tree? Yeah sorry about that, lets go clear this 5 man dungeon for the greater good!
-It’s canonically supported by every story where a greater evil threatens both factions so their heroes work together
Not…really?
There isn’t a single moment in WoW in which temporary truces were established to combat an existential threat where we weren’t still actively engaged in faction warfare elsewhere on the planet. We’ve never stopped fighting.
Ever.
I don’t want to share my unliving space with the living!
If it breathes it’s food!
Remember when i cooked your kid in a tree? Yeah sorry about that, lets go clear this 5 man dungeon for the greater good!
Don’t you like your Kid’s Meal fully cooked?
I thought so!
They should be thanking us.
Then we had a civil war where we lost an enormous amount of Kor’kron, which was the brunt of our fighting force.
pretty sure the Kor’Kron are jsut the elite guards for the warchief
