What no way theres pvp bots in retail ? like 5 of the same class following each other ?
As AI tech continues to advance, you can expect this to become a more serious issue.
An AI user will one day very very soon be indistinguishable from a real player, poor performance and all.
They’re not using AI to bot (much) yet, although at least one I’m aware of does exist (an AI WoW Fishbot is out there).
ATM they evade autobans with delays the bot user can change, as well as RNG ranges to add to each “event” to evade the super simple server checks. They also bot the RDP window itself or use VMs and bot the window of that as well to hide.
ALL of them can be caught with proper fast fourier transform analysis of user inputs, as any RNG’d inputs will be dead centered on one specific value. Same way ReCaptcha works. This is why I’m so aggro on the problem, because I know for a fact blizzard isn’t trying specific things and has not tried said things.
They exist but really aren’t common.
Especially outside of competitive content.
