i dont understand why you needed to reply to my post then
too bad. not many people want to start all over again and lvl through garbage classic content that hardly anyone enjoys anymore. nerd
What?
Was much more designed to bring your character from 60-70. 1-60 was pretty disconnected from the 60-70 journey and one of the rightful criticisms of TBC.
Thatâs why Iâve been pushing for a fresh no boost server. If we canât convince blizz that boost is bad letâs just do it on an fnb server.
Yea i wouldnât mind a fresh no boost server!
I agree. One way people could be happy would be to have a fresh server that allows no boosts. I think that would be the best option for people who are against the boosts.
You donât need to call someone a moron, but yes obviously boosts affect the entire game and everyone involved whether they use them or not.
Look, there are people who like to level alts and people who canât stand leveling alts.
The people who enjoy it will continue to do so and the people who donât will not and will take advantage of the one time boost. The boost doesnât change this dynamic.
Look on the positive side, maybe this will bring some extra tanks and healers into the world that otherwise wouldnât exist.
This is coming from someone who is leveling my 5th and 6th alts to sixty right now without boosts.
so, you want to leave your friend in the dust because you have time right now and they may not?
All the anti-boost to 58 posts boil down to 1 thing - they feel if they spent the time to lvl - it is absolute that all others should as well. i understand the point, but disagree. i play the game for my own fun - i dont really care what others do with their time and money - if people want to play the game a certain way thatâs offered, who am i to dictate how othersâ fun is supposed to be had?
100% feel the same way and this is suppose to be a âClassicâ version of this game!!! Boosts have no place in TBC Classic!
Itâs already empty. Even when I lvlâd my second character months and months ago it was a ghost town. Trying to get a grp to run a dungeon from the time I was lvl 10 to my high 50âs was pretty much impossible. It wasnât until I was 60 that I just had some of my guildies help me through the Ony attunement.
And itâs like this because of mages just boosting ppl through the lvling process, not boosts.
I started playing WoW shortly before BC was released. I was somewhere level 30-40 when the dark portal opened. I still needed to get 20 or so levels before I could enter Outlands.
My brother started playing the day BC was launched. He needed to level a character 1-70.
I leveled a shaman alt after I got my first character to 70. I still needed to level 1-70.
I had friends that started in WotLK. They needed to level their characters 1-80.
For a decade of WoWâs existence, new players didnât start at 58, 68, etc. Even Death Knights, WoWâs first âboostâ type system still required at least a max level character on your account to create and didnât even put you into Northrend right away.
There should be a barrier to entry to max level in an MMORPG, for numerous reasons. They significantly nerfed Azeroth leveling in 2.3, a point that pro-boosters seem to be forgetting. I think thatâs a good compromise for the âi hate levelingâ crowd.
Introducing a boost in Classic encompasses a lot of things that are wrong in retail WoW today.
The starter zones on Pagle are hopping right now. With actual levelers, not just boosters.
On Alliance side, anyway.
Which is one of the reasons I hated TBC for so long.
Let the people who play the game only for arena and raids have their boosts and dead servers. Meanwhile let the people who enjoy all of the content have fresh no boost servers
Iâm as anti-booster as they come, but even I could get behind this. Iâm not sure why theyâre opposed to introducing fresh servers for BC.
#Nochanges went out the door a while ago, and they even admitted theyâre working around a #Somechanges philosophy now. Obviously, theyâre hesitant to introduce more servers, considering thereâs so many dead Classic servers right now.
They need to connect the dead/super imbalanced Classic servers, and introduce 1-2 new fresh servers w/ no boosts, no character transfers.
I agree, for new MMORPGs it makes sense. Nothing new about TBC. The new players can do 1-70 if they want, or donât. If they didnât want to do classic for itself why would they want to do it for TBC just to get to TBC content?
Good.
What leveling experience?
Its a 15 year old game with very little draw to new players. There is no constamt stream of players leveling. There are occasional waves that are becoming less and less each time.
The leveling experience in classic is: hope you dont plan on grouping unless is a mage boost group unless you pre research and find a leveling guild in a server.
The leveling expetience existed for a while in classic. Not its already dead. They are doing the boost to incentivize more people into plahing bc who didnt want the awful grind of classic. Its a good thing
Get over it. They are doing boosts to get more subs. No amount of anyone whining about 1 freaking boost will change this. Level in classic get to 60 and then copy the character to bc.
