How much more honor does ally get if, say, IWB is in their hands at the end of the game instead of contested?
Not sure about honor amounts. All I know is that the less towers horde destroy, the less chance they have to win. Unless of course itās a gigachad group that just kills Vann in 6 mins regardless of everything.
the problem is there arenāt any AVs going on all week long so you are stressed to cram everything into a weekend. Blizzard needs to tweak the numbers from the other BGs to make it worth while to rank in WSG and AV on non AB weekends. i honestly donāt think enough people are gonna be xfering from Anni, i could be wrong though.
This is just a temporary problem. The transfer window from anni to era close on Jan 12th. Meaning there are still a ton of people ranking on anni until the last possible moment.
After the 12th there will at least be WSG going everyday if not some AVās during prime hours.
I hope so i got a taste of Windfury on my horde war and now Iām addicted i want my Horde warrior PVP BiS like this toon is.
The current ranking system is splitting players in a way that makes it rough in a lot of matches.
Just finished a game where a few of us recalled to wipe the Horde at Vann since we we also fought Drek, just behind. We successfully wiped them for someone to start complaining that we lengthened the match for no reason. Then alliance won like 10 seconds later.
Someone got upset over winning a match 10 seconds slower than losing a match. And itās the fault of the current ranking system.

Even if nobody transferred from Anniversary, there were weekday AVs on Era before Anniversary. Which suggests that will happen again once Era is the only Vanilla show in town.

Iāve been playing AV this weekend because I enjoy it. We have a bunch of rankers in the guild so Iāve been doing what I can to help them get honour faster. Mostly revolving around trying to kill more LTs before the game ends or farming the poverty pony patrol.
I now find myself playing solo. Expect to see a suicidal Dwarf in Vanās room from time to time. If this bothers you, make your voice heard by Blizzard. Honour breakpoints need to go.

I think youāll see an influx of people come over to era once they finish ranking on anniversary servers. Its just that much more efficient at the moment.
They know that if they transfer to Era their ability to rank easy is nerfed by 70%. I think Uglyhaircut is spot on.

This question isnāt specific to Whitemane, but why is it that the Horde can kill Van with no towers down and no marshals killed, but we canāt do the same to Drek? Itās certainly not that they have better pveāers - we have way more.
We can - a couple good wars and holy paladins make it trivial to tank all the WM. Or a hunter can kite them around the fence.

The issue is that Horde are the minority faction and as such we control the queues. If games arenāt worth it for Horde to queue up, they donāt. Horde are far, FAR more likely to put up with multiple hour long games than they are 5 minute Alliance drek or keks that can kill Drek faster than we can Vann.
On NA especially, if you do an IWB team ~and a quick Drek Kek, the queues will die within hours and only pop when there are enough people online to make sure you donāt queue into that type of game too often.
The key to pvp is always the minority faction controls how much you get to pvp. Over camp them in the open world? Enjoy your 99% faction servers. Over punish them in BGās? Enjoy your 30+ min queues or no queues. Yes, Iām speaking as someone who played Ally during 2019, I know about Phase 2. The minority faction is always the one in control of how much pvp gets to happen, the majority faction controls how enjoyable it is. If they donāt meet each other, it always leads to the minority faction leaving.

I should add of course, running sands is competitive hp/h with 1 person helping, so if horde really care about honour and the games are going to hell, thereās always silithyst 
Pretty insightful and accurate. But what I donāt get is why so few of the well known horde AB and WSG pvpers even make an appearance in AV. Yeah, I get that they prefer AB and WSG, but it seems like they would enjoy the challenge of going up against Chibiās premade. But few of them even seem to try.
They do. Theyāre at snowfall ganking people and at Galv wiping it and at FWGY killing the early riders. Theyāre doing exactly what Chibi does but Horde version.
I donāt think any longterm era players have forgotten Philās escapades, right?
