there are three different rogue specs… which one is your favorite.
ill go first, my favorite rogue spec of all time since the days the beginning of the game started was subtlety. subtlety has always been really hard to play. sub didn’t get easy until wod polished it up. the climax of the fun you could have playing sub was in wod. vanilla was the hardest version to play as sublety.
legion made subtlety too hard to figure out. though i have the artifact challenge accomplished i thought it was too hard to play.
bfa subtlety really hard to play i have not gotten really far simply playing as a subtlety ninja.
anyways thought i would go first, what are your guises favorite parts of playing rogue?

Combat. Gone, but not forgotten. Always in our hearts. May it rest in peace. And may Classic honor it well.

Sub, even now it’s still my favorite, bastardized as it is. I like the fantasy the most, as it feels the most cloak and dagger like. it’s name also implies its difficulty, as it can be easy to do things wrong, but you get a nice payoff for doing it right (less so now but eh). I like sin a lot too, just not my absolute favorite. I do miss combat, the outlaw changes were not a good change imo, but it’s still ok I guess.

Sub, even if it’s a pale, fading shadow of what it used to be.

Originally was a sub/assassin mix spec, but then they took away mixed specs.
Then it was sub, but then sub got weird.
Now it’s assassination simply because it’s the only one that feels anything like how rogues used to feel.
Never was a fan of combat but I liked it better than Outlaw.

I always liked combat, outlaw is okay, but lacking the critical DOTs, I’ve been assassination for a long while now.
Combat used to be my all time favorite. Now that it’s Outlaw though I don’t like it.
At this time, I go Assassination.

thanks guys for shearing your thoughts on the rogue specs. combat was really popular.
I like Subtlety the most, with Outlaw im second place and Assassination last. Subtlety plays smoothly with a lot of on-demand burst, CC, and I enjoy the lore around it a lot.

next expansion all rogues are getting poisons back for sure which will be nice. I’m hoping rogues will get more changes since a lot of the legion changes don’t work without the artifact/artifact trees.

Outlaw!!!
I love the theme and the appearance from mage tower
Sin is the only one that feel smooth to me, outlaw and sub feel very clunky. God help me I’ve tried to get into outlaw all expac but I can never do it for long
I also want combat back:/
Sub rogues… ouchie. It’s like a spec that’s there but you don’t want to see it. Used to be a fun spec can’t remember when I last played it tho it has been many expansions.
Combat, the lost spec. I never liked any of the others. I tried my best to get into Outlaw but it never felt right so I’ve retired my Rogue.
I like the rogue class in general. In fact, I think i might go level up this rogue to make it my main, but I have a question, which spec can stunlock the most?
Aesthetically: Sub
Ease and effectiveness: Sin
Have to play it but I don’t want to: Outlaw
I actually really like outlaw. Liked RtB a bit better when TB interacted with CoS but whatevs.
I do have fond memories of cata and MoP mut and WoD combat (bf draenor perk, I am cry).

Enjoying outlaw on my dwarf with his heritage armour. Guns fit without it being a pirate thing.
Used to play assassin/mutilate since tbc but got bored of it after almost 10 years of a roughly similar rotation.
Haven’t seriously played or enjoyed sub since maybe Wrath? Used it for mage tower and despite completing it still had no idea what my abilities were.
I don’t really enjoy till the bones but I feel if it was just slice n dice like vanilla I’d probably grow bored of the rotation quicker.
I did enjoy a bit of mop(?) combat. I kinda liked the focus on cool down reduction and red light/green light burn phases.
