What does this category say to you?
I thought it was dress in “model” clothes because when I think of a “catwalk”, I think of Fashion Week and Right Said Fred.
However, I see people dressing up as an adventurer instead. More and more in fact.
So what’s the verdict?
Catwalk. Fancy clothing. Something you’d see at a fashion show.
Adventurer gear is not that, I wouldn’t vote for it. I tend to not vote for sets anyways
I agree, but I don’t think most participants really know what it’s supposed to mean, so it turns into a free-for-all theme.
Although, with those crazy outfits that we see from real life fashion shows, maybe it was intended to be a free-for-all to begin with.
I won with a stylish black dress which made my lady look like a duchess. Lost with a fancy adventure regalia.
The fact that it is Expedition, to me, does imply that you are showing off Expedition fashions. I usually try to mashup the ideas when they are this vague, and have had some success.
Ultimately, it’s about knowing what other players want to see. If you are in a particularly drooly group, just wear the skimpiest outfits, regardless of what the quest text says.
Idk I just vote for whatever I like the most regardless of theme.
I always hear the “I’m too sexy” song and envision models showing off new clothes. I go for fancy pretentious looking outfits.
Saw a blood elf paladin trying to win with bikini plate and that backless plate bra.
I was so proud of my group when she didn’t place at all.

I do see this theme as a pure “adventurer” theme. I see it as a runway of the most low-fantasy transmog I could imagine.
A lot of the time I do see people with the fancy noble-Nesingwary-adventurer type of get up, and that’s fine. I like the idea of a simple adventurer, so those types of transmogs are the ones I’ll give my vote to. I’m just looking for fresh ideas of concepts I might actually want to use, and I have no interest in a fancy adventurer theme.
I really hate themes that are not hit you in the face obvious.
They did away with some that people complained were too vague only to give us another one.
It is Fashion. But you’ve seen Fashion shows where it looks like they rolled in tape and garbage.
Definitly means sleek to me, not dressed to kill a raidboss.
But half the time people are buck naked when they are dressed to kill a raid boss?
How can you not see the difference between the two situations?

Though I will always take into account someone apparent misunderstanding of the theme when voting. If they went all out with the “expedition” theme and it’s obvious they tried hard then they might likely get my vote.
THis is supposed to be fun. I’m not gonna be to judgemental over things like this 
I think of it as fashionable expedition clothing. I saw someone make a fancy skimpy mog with two pickaxes and it was exactly what I imagined for the theme.
Yeah I don’t care which route people go with this theme, I was just curious what the majority view is. I know I won’t get a true majority on the forum but maybe a good sample vote?
I just honestly don’t know which direction to go with this theme. Maybe I’ll go with the idea of “dress sexy but wield a pickaxe” 
can say the same about the make me laugh one. nothing in wow says make me laugh in terms of transmog. humor is subjective just like any other theme of whos is best.
Trial of Style is a popularity contest and a scam, when people can cheat it with pre made group queues of guildies who funnel votes from one to another an cycle so each person wins the rounds, and anyone else who was added as a pug member gets screwed an never wins.
I know that situation sucks. They should take a page from Plunderstorm’s book and give us solo and duo queues.
Let people that want to group up try to out cheat each other and let solo queuers have peace.
