It’s just a fun little mini-game that isn’t intended to be taken this seriously. I think people are actively ruining the fun part of this for themselves by doing so.
When a solo-queuer gets into a match with a group, they have two options:
1.) Be the cheerleader for the predetermined 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd place winner or
2.) Leave the match with a 30 minute debuff.
Neither is fun for people not in the group.
People say this, but I have yet to see it happen.
Not saying it doesn’t happen, but I’m not sure it’s as common as people claim.
It can translat to skimpy, fashionable, classy or just make a random mog set.
As someone that used to be a ToS addict, I don’t see how people like you and Sendryn claim to never see it.
I don’t mean that aggressively or mean. Just an honest observation.
I started noticing it during themes like “Tabard Time” and “Epic Purple” and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are wearing (for example) garbage or no tabards. I would scratch my head and think people in this group are weird until one day one of the other solo queuers said “lol guild group” before they dropped.
Since then, and that was years ago, every time I would see winners that make absolutely no sense, I would mouse over them to see if they’re in the same guild and/or from the same realm.
Blizz needs to add a pencil skirt to the game for me, specifically, so I can complete my sexy and classy business-lady outfit.
I mean business!

I get thrown off by this too. But because it says Expedition, I just use that as a chance to dress as a lumberjack/miner or something. I wouldn’t look great in a dress.
i vote for people dressed like cats. especially ones that are voidy cats
anything you would see that was fashion - I would think dresses and feathers. However, if someone wanted to dress up as a cat that would be okay too.
I mean … come on you guys. This is a bit much. Who cares if it’s “fair”? The fun of the mini-game is to play dress-up. If you don’t go in purely to enjoy the act of mogging, or at least enjoy seeing other’s mogs, then this game just doesn’t seem to be for you in the first place.
How is it a joy to build a mog for others to see when they’re not going to either look at it or notice it because you’re not in their guild?
I mean, are all you people so hellbent against restricting this to solo queues the people joining with friends and /or guildies to vote for each other? Because there’s no harm in the fix I’m suggesting.
Let people that want to group up compete with other people that want to group up. Let people that want to solo queue compete against other solo queuers.
Expedition means adventure or something. Just ignore catwalk cause it’s not the first word.
3.) Wait 5 minutes and collect 12 tokens, then queue again.
Yeah that’s pretty much option 1 since the rumor is you will vote for the person “highlighted.”
The first time I did it I didn’t see “expedition” so I did traditional model clothing, but I’m pretty sure the focus is supposed to be on the expedition part, otherwise they wouldn’t have included it. So wear your best expedition/adventurer clothes.
