Why is this mount a big thing? If it drops then it’s good. If it doesnt, it is still okay. So what if you dont have the mount?
There’s gazillion mounts on our inventory and we can only use one at a time.
Same reason everybody here still plays wow. sunk cost fallacy convincing us its valuable and a good use of time, rather than low effort trash we should have given up on a looooong time ago.
Actually yes, it is clear as day. The in-game tool tip says: “The FIRST of these [Heart-Shaped Boxes] earned by your Warband each day, has a chance to drop RARE rewards.”
The only people still not getting this are hoping against any sense of reason that the X-45 Heartbreaker is somehow common and not rare, which is just ridiculous (a mount is clearly a “rare” so just accept the words as written).
GMs have no way to know. That’s why they point to Wowhead, all their information comes from that or Google anyway.
HOW would GMs have any better information? They didn’t code it. They aren’t allowed to bother anyone who did. If they take longer than 5 minutes to research and resolve something they’re fired and replaced with a chatbot.
Why the First Box? Are Blizzard really that stupid?. It was Originally a 0.03% Drop rate mount which is a 1/16665% chance according to the Rarity addon so you are Telling me we get 14 attempts at a mount with a Drop rate like that. And I don’t Believe they Buffed it at all sice I cant find Concrete Proof from Blizzard that they did. I highly Doubt its a Once Per Day chance because that would Negate Doing it at all.
No, no, realistically speaking the drop rate for the first attempt of the day is around 5% nowadays, almost everyone who farmed it got it the last few years, it’s something really big, the possession rate tripled the first year said change was made.
You wouldn’t even be able to reach 5% cumulative daily chance by running 100 toons through it at the 0,03% drop rate, which however, as far as I’ve seen, is still happening, there’s been someone on wowhead who said they got it on following kills for the day.
I think it has something to do with it having been a thing for 18 years now, and it’s still not rewarding people. Add to that, a VERY limited time window, then further restricting that time window to one a day limits. It makes a person want to do something different with their life, once the perspective of how much of it has been wasted on pixels that in no way embellish a persons environment in a positive way.
Hello. We recognize that we’ve made some changes to holiday reward drops over the last couple of years, and we can see that a bit of clarification is called for here.
For Love is in the Air 2025:
Legacy drops, such as the X-45 Heartbreaker, have a much higher chance to drop on your first attempt of the day (WoW account-wide). There is a very small chance to receive legacy drops on subsequent attempts made the same day, for players who enjoy running the content on multiple characters.
New drops, such as the Love Witch’s Sweeper, can only drop on your first attempt of the day (WoW account-wide), and will see an increasing chance to drop with each new day that a first attempt is completed.
Good luck out there. Don’t stand in the Crown Chemical Company’s chemicals!
