He was suck at being a spy!! Former player of EVE Online here!! You either use a secondary account or enlist another player. When my former guild from 2012 got me kicked from a guild 12 years later in 2024, the first thing I did was start placing spys into BOTH former guilds (in-game and Discord)!

We are into the home stretch for early access housing! In spite of all controversy, I’m actually low key excited. I planned on working on level some professions this weekend, but I was still sick (had something, viral?, don’t know what it was but I ran a decent fever for about 6 solid days). I’ve look through info at the some of the stuff I know I want to make, so I have “priority” level set for Inscription for Legion and DL. I’m more concerned about the regent requirements than the actually leveling though. Looks like most of the stuff I want just has a level requirement for the recipe… but the recipes seem to take a lot of stuff from that expansion. And I’ve been too lazy to go and inventory what I have spread between everyone’s bags and the warband bank.

I spent hours organizing my warband bank, my bank alt’s gbank, and all my character banks so I could really make sense of all the mats/reagents I’ve collected over the years before housing launches. So much mailing and rummaging through bags. I’m super over it but at least I think I’ve done a good job of making my system future proof for at least the next few expacs.

Maybe? I think there’s a setting somewhere (I haven’t looked yet) where if you’re not invited to a home, it boots you off their property after a few seconds. I got a notice when I was trying to wander someone’s yard.
I do hope we can pvp or something like that in the neighborhoods. We can leave a corpse in the cemetery yard.

my next issue that I thought that housing in beta would at least help figure out a lot and ideas for floor plans. Floorplans is sort of a yes. But the lot. I have more lots I like and I’m not sure I still want what I thought I wanted. It’s autumnal mountains vs national parks views. Waterfalls and vibes vs roosting and soaring wyverns over Yellowstone and Zion national parks. I just don’t know.
If you need inscription mats on beta, let me know and I’ll mail you the names of the beta characters I’ll be on today. I have the Dragonflight ones in bulk, and most the mats for Legion as well.
Been trying some things out for gathering lumber, even though I suspect most won’t work since it is not an actual profession.
- Druid flight form: Actually does work, you stay in form the same as herbalism.
- Sky Golem: Nope
- Earthen racial with chance for extra mats: Nope, not as far as I can tell.
Still need to test Darkmoon Firewater and a few other things.
I’m torn right now between my Beta experiments and retail leveling. I want to play with my doll house (which I have moved 5 times in 6 days, lol) but there is stuff that want to be able to have next weeks.
Lumber gathering as been interesting. I’m still getting disappointing low drop rates for it. And I’m still not happy about the mat costs for the recipes. I’m not sure what their angle is. Do you want people to make this stuff or not, or are you trying make sure they are expensive in the auction house.
For what it’s worth, you can place crafting orders for decor items as well. So the burden of lumber gathering can be on the buyer, if you do it that way.

I haven’t dipped my toe in beta but I had the same thing happen with screenshots vs in-game footage. I made a top three list going off the screenshots Blizzard Watch posted ages ago and completely trashed it after watching Zepla & Nobbel’s lot tours; two of the three aren’t even on the list anymore.

If players want the option of not having anyone see their house in the front yard, why not just have a single player owned instance like in SWTOR? I am really hoping WoW will introduce apartments. There is absolutely no way I want any guild or neighborhood owner to be in control of my house. Guilds fall apart all the time or gets booted for inactivity. That would necessiate in having to redecorate upon returning to game or when finding new guild. Public neighborhoods will get ghosted pretty quick. In LOTRO, I finally destroyed all the housing decor because I got tired of redoing them every time returning to the game.
