How do we want to work people getting their lots?
We can either do complete chaos and just FFA it (I think this is not ideal) or we can have people list what they are looking for? I want this to be as fair as can be, but I also don’t want to have anyone feel like they didn’t get any of the options they were looking for.

My basic idea is kind of ‘first come, first serve,’ but if we have conflicts, we can either try a dice roll or some kind of negotiation.
I have a very basic Discord started. I’m going to see what guild name(s) look like and are available this weekend. Then we can start putting alts into the guild. Alts will need to have their names verified to me so we know who the mains are. Then I’ll give out the Discord info.
Beta opens on Tuesday, so I’m hoping that means the neighborhoods will be stable enough by that time that some people can get a good look or scout locations for themselves or other people.

If we can get more than 50 people, we’ll get a new “sub division” so there will be other chances at your favorite - if that helps any.
I would like to put Kina in the guild, instead of an alt, if that’s okay. I’m just taking up space in an RP guild, because I’m just not going to do anything. So, at least I can help by working on endeavors.
I have a list of 15 lots I like, with 9 of those being “preferred”. So, there are actually a lot of nice lots out there. I found a couple that I really liked when I was flying around in the PTR, that just looking at the map I would have never picked. My impression now from when it was first announced and show has changed a lot.
I am a little sad that the “center” of town doesn’t have lots. I guess they wanted everyone to have a yard. But I bet there would have been some people who would have been fine with a smaller apartment, condo, or townhouse, type set up.

Kina can definitely go into the guild. I just assumed people will mostly still want to be in their existing guilds and I don’t want to interfere with that. If people want to actually put their mains into the guild, I have no problem with mains. I might put one of my Kirsy characters in the guild (I have 4 of them).
I will mention that I don’t know enough about guild challenges to know if they’re better to be done at max level or if anyone can do them. I don’t expect to see that pop up in the beta, but if it does, I’ll mention it.
Characters from other servers are fine, too.

I once again failed at maintaining a Tauren warrior and race changed Ironshield to Forsaken, so that’s who is going in the guild.
The idea of an ancient undead warrior is making my brain spin with stories and ideas for housing. I’ll probably spend the weekend concocting a bit of a background and looking at Razorwind plots.
Starting to get excited even with all my concerns!! WARCRAFT HOUSING 20 YEARS IN THE MAKING! LFG!!

Will Discord be required to join? I was wondering if I would need to make an account there to be a part of the guild, or if it is just going to be something available to the people that want to use it.
Once this account issue gets resolved, I’ll probably hurl Khonn at the Guild, if possible? My lil baby Orc Lok’gosh’darn …
Discord will be required to join. And if someone wants to join and they’re not someone I recognize right off from the forums or other interaction, they’ll probably need a recommendation from someone I do know.
How much is cabal TV per month in this burg?

Because I can’t sleep, I’ve been thinking of random things. And I thought of an idea that might be fun for the neighborhood. A monthly open house or tour of homes. Participation would of course be totally voluntary. But it would give people a chance to show off their house, and for nosy neighbors to get to snoop around. I haven’t worked out the specifics yet. But I’m thinking about getting a list of people who want to show their house, then assign a time period - like maybe 10-15 minutes - to tour the house, then on to the next one.
There are little public gathering points scattered throughout the neighborhood, an people who maybe didn’t want to open their houses but still participate, could set up activities in those areas. So it would be like a tour of homes and maybe a block party.
It seems like a good idea to me at the moment, but I thought I would put it out there to see if there was any interest before I got too deep in planning.
