The Wrath of the Lich King Classic Pre-Patch Goes Live August 30

It’s the first reply of this thread. Now it has triple the likes of the Blue post.

Of course the three anti-lfd trolls used their army of alts to flag it.

They waited this long because they tied those servers to pre-patch. It would have made more sense for them to launch on the 16th or if need be the 23rd.

It’s also going to be interesting to see how the pre-launch event plays out. If I remember correctly outside of the plague… quite a bit of that was for higher level areas. While I’m sure some people will level quite far between the 30th and 6th etc Fresh start servers aren’t likely to have a high percent of upper level players by then. Maybe my memory is incorrect it’s not that great now a days.

It is what it is and I should just be glad they finally gave an update. I just wish they had included Fresh Server numbers, types and names…

Why do people troll like this? It was halfway through Wrath. About a year after launch and about a year before Cata.

Because it’s simply wrong. Stop spreading wrong informations

By what metric are you saying half-way? I even went the extra mile to look up dates, 12 months of no RDF, 6 months* of RDF? I understand you WANT to be right here but please enlighten me how that’s possible.

my mistake, i forgot ruby sanctum. but still, thats 1/3 at best.

Such low effort trolling. But that’s all the anti-lfd people have.

Yes, so half the time. They’re not releasing ICC for the whole time, so why release RDF for the whole time, either?
You just seem to want to go with the latter half lmao. Keep in mind, HALF the time we were without it, especially during the majority of the content progression

It’s pointless to talk to those people. They don’t accept facts.

Wrath release date: Novemember 13, 2008
Wrath Patch 3.30: December 8, 2009 <-------Release of Dungeon finder.
Cataclysm release: December 7, 2010

Im guessing after SOM season is over in November

If we are speaking technically Wrath had 26 days more without RDF then it did with RDF…I think half is a pretty good approximation…

Dual spec wasn’t in Wrath the whole time either, but we are getting it in pre-patch…

Thank you for giving us a good amount of notice and a road map. This the communication we’ve been asking for all along, and it sincerely makes a bigger difference than you may know throughout the community.

One additional question though, can you provide an end date for Arena Season 4 and outline exactly how arena gear will be handled in pre-patch? Will it follow the same model as previous season ends or will this be a special case with it being pre-patch?

I’ve long said i would gladly wait for Uld phase for Dual Spec just to get RDF in ICC phase

ah right, I forgot to count the gigantic gap in any content whatsoever that existed for 6 months that included some prepatch of some sort. Boy was I wrong.

Yeah we are rounding it by saying half, it’s like 48 percent to be more accurate. But even by those standards, when we say it was in for half of wrath, they aren’t understanding that we are talking about half of the expansions existence. They keep going back to the fact that it was the last major content patch prior to cata. And I know there’s NO WAY they aren’t getting what we mean. It’s just like when you’re debating someone and one side keeps ignoring what you are saying and trying to act smug. You’re like: ‘‘Bro just look up, the sky is litterally blue!’’ And they are like: ‘‘Yeah but like, it’s red sometimes too so what do you have to say about that smart guy?’’

Ya I’m not sure how there’s room for debate here it’s literally plastered on the wiki

1 year of RDF

That doesn’t mean we should by default get RDF or anything else lmao

Dual spec wasn’t in at launch. Tome of cold weather flight wasn’t. A thousand other systems in vanilla and tbc weren’t that were in classic’s launch. That argument has absolutely no merit and has been disproven countless times.

On top of that Blizz has said it’ll never be in Wrath. So even if it was a consistent design to only put on system versions the exact time they went in originally (which it’s not) it still wouldn’t apply to dungeon finder.

At least you recognized it was in half of wrath though. That’s more than most do.
