It’s not a plague with just WoW players, but the industry as a whole. It was normalized in the 2010s to bash game developers and to satire bad games on youtube.
The reason people complain like they do has to do more with themselves than the game.

Are you surprised? And the guy who created FF is happy for the extra players but not happy at all with the people claiming its better than wow.

It was also the best game I had ever played for PvP until Origin was bought out. One time my miner was being hunted by a group of PvPers and I hid in the blind spots of houses while dragging my massive haul of ore until I got to a friendly house and was able to get inside.
Sadly he is no longer in control. The game belongs to the trolls.

Not really, I don’t need some corporation to care about me, I need them to make an enjoyable game I want to waste my time on.

The WoW community is ultra toxic because the game is built so that your reputation doesn’t matter. I knew people in EQ that had a very hard time in game because they destroyed their reputations…this doesn’t exist in WoW, they make this game EQ ez mode without the social mechanics as well.
we see a lot of crime nowadays as well; it doesn’t make it right either.
isn’t it amazing that’s how real communities used to work before all these lfg’s were implemented? the good ole days where honor and rep actually mattered and weren’t something u had to grind…

You clearly have been reading some posts on these forums.
They’re even in Gw2 complaining that there are no mounts until level 80, even though they are given free character boost and they’re account wide achievements.
The whole thing these forums have with stooping to insults when arguing about what should be buffed or nerfed and what content should or shouldn’t be added is pretty terrible too. Feedback is good but the vitriol is unnecessary and often even counterproductive.

Sticking up for FF is laughable there forced you must not use discord for it. Wow is no worse than the rest they have just had way more players than anyone else some of you fail to realize half the people playing mmos are the same people going from game to game get out of here saying wow is more toxic.
