But…but WoW community bad! FF good!
People who hype up FF’s community on the forum tend to have a massive lack of self-awareness since they’re almost always the worst examples of it.

When I started playing UO there were bands of people who did nothing except gank newbies. They would then go around and kill the spirit healers and camp rez points. Eventually Origin had to take action cuz apparently if you can’t get new people to play then it really hurts the game.
Lies. WoW invented the toxic community.
The best thing about the wow community is how…acidic it is. It’s hilarious to me. I was standing afk in FF14 today and someone gave me 48k gil out of the blue. I am not used to this type of kindness
So FFXIV tries to get the majority of WoW’s player base and succeeds but it turns out that majority consists entirely of the trolls, Asmongold, and the entire population of Moon Guard’s Goldshire.
What is this an episode of the Three Stooges?
Seriously>?
If you had an MMO absent all the bullshart that follows THIS one around…
And you saw a MAGNET for this kind of bullshart happen into your world, you wouldn’t try to affect that situation?
That’s a community saying “No” to one of the most disruptive forces that can enter a game space. I don’t really have a dog in the fight, but to me, that’s commendable.
Streamers do more harm to a game than good. If you think otherwise, I invite you to reexamine that last years of your gaming life in Azeroth.
I wish, as a race, we could stop giving attention to agitators. They’re never out to help you or your cause. They are there to mine your energy for their own uses!
The FF community is insufferable. They are the type of people who consider language violence.
Ummmm okay? Thank you for sharing on the WoW forums about another video game forums in the GD section which is WoW talk not other games. Also, I tried New World and there is a lot wrong with the game mechanics and bugs. Not saying it is a bad MMO but definitely one that isn’t going to have many play after a few months after launch unless you only plan on doing pvp as it is basically a pvp mmo.
Also Amazon so far is 0 for 1 in online games as their fps didn’t even last more than a couple of months before it got shut down completely.
lol Right? But I guess the OP can rip on WoW and it isn’t toxic.
Really because I see more people mentioning FFXIV than WoW these days.
There was a time where I would assume you’re exaggerating until some FF14 players recently swore that GMs will get involved in minor disagreements like vote kicks.
I guess it’s a major crime to kick someone for under performing.
I feel attacked
This made me chuckle
Hehe!
/comfort
Or their company thinks it’s a major thing to have involvement with the players.
Perspectives.
But for real, it does tickle me that the actual devs of FF do nothing but praise WoW as what FF was inspired to be and doesn’t want people to think one game is better than the other and the “totally not toxic community” loves coming here to take a dump on the game.
Not that I don’t they’re entitled to their opinion. But I do find it amusing that a community so besotted with their lead dev (who by all means seems like a great guy) seems to ignore what he actually thinks when they can’t use him as a bludgeon.
You think it’s commendable to harass someone for coming to enjoy the game and break the ToS to try and falsely get them banned in doing so?
My experience with the FF community says that actual FF players do not care about WoW enough to come tell us how great FF is. That’s WoW players.
I like Blizzard’s policy of letting the group work it out and one person’s feelings isn’t greater than 3 to 4 others.
Yes I do.
If Asmongold had wanted to play FF14 then it wouldn’t be a problem. He’d create some nameless character and begin engaging the game.
Asmongold wanted to bring his disruptive television show and all the hangers-on that come with it.
If you don’t see a distinct difference between those two activities, then we will be at an impasse for further discussion.
If players had found out some average player was Amongold, and then decided to push him out of the game just because of who he was, then I could see your side of the argument.
Reality painted a different picture.
I personally think it’s 100% fine for a community to want gone a disruptive influence that does not benefit the game at all. He can desperately mug for attention somewhere else.
It is if you tell them why. If you just kick them then its ok. It seems goofy to me because if it was me, I would want to know why I was getting kicked.
It took me years to find a FC that wasn’t emotionally equivalent to an elementary school girls soccer team.
It will be interestiing to play WOW after all the “better players” have moved on. It might become friendly.
