The worst class balance ever

It’s week 1 of Shadowlands and we have:

MM and Sub Rogues deleting people in seconds. A sub rogue can take you from 100-0 in less than a cheap shot. MM hunters can just sit from 6373837 miles away and snipe you before you even realize what happened.

Ret paladins are just obnoxious. Nobody needs that much self heals and get out of jail cards, along with the crazy damage that they have. And don’t even get me started on prot…

Boomy’s and Spriests are melting faces. Demon Hunters and Shamans are deleting people with broken covenant abilities.

Even WW monks and ferals are ridiculous right now and of course they got buffs because reasons.

Oh, and every “random” battleground is FILLED with 10 man coordinated premades farming easy honor. How are they even doing that? :woman_facepalming:t2:

I can’t wait till we make legendaries next week.

Where are the people who dismissed the complaints of those who were calling for class nerfs in prepatch?

Was there any kind of tuning, any kind of testing? Because this is the worst class balance ever. Not even BfA was this bad, sorry I don’t make the rules.

there was not. the only pvp testing done in beta was limited to a few arena matches.

I think it’s better to wait for the legendary crafting and pvp gearing to continue before making hard nerfs. Although I will admit I strongly believe no matter how much vers somebody has hunters and sub rogues will still be globaling people atleast in BGs.

Stopped reading here. Even Mists of Pandaria (the best PvP expansion) had Warriors one-shotting with Dragon Roar the first season. I’d take this then a slow-paced game like Battle for Azeroth.

mop’s pvp was bad. nearly everyone i know noped out after the mage issue at the start and never came back until they were forced to.

and thats the thing, mop’s pvp participation wasn’t natural, it was forced by quests.

BfA had a jump in participation when they tried the same thing with blood of the enemy, however the devs caved to qq and nerfed it later.

a slower pace than current is preferable IMO, right now a kill is like 3-4 button presses if that, basically whoever strikes first or has the best defensives wins. when the fight is over before you can do anything you dont have fun. when that is continues regularly it actually makes players frustrated and angry.

a fight shouldn’t be a 5 minute back and forth of HP bars, but it shouldn’t be over quickly either. a full duel between two players should last long enough for most cooldowns to be exhausted.

There’s a difference between slow paced and so fast you can’t even react. Go be stupid somewhere else.

Try using defensives.

Nearly everyone I know thinks 5.4 was great.

In a 3s game today a rogue shadowy dueled first global our multi rank 1 shaman, popped blades, and killed him within the duel

MoP like WotLK improved over time. A lot of classes were overtuned/bugged at the start but was smoothed out at the end.

Stopped reading here, obv troll.

Sub and mm definitely stand out among the mix of other classes. The others feel varied based on gear or cds.

Can someone tell me how boomkins are globaling people? I seem to have an extreme ramp issue compared to most classes needing to get into eclipse and build a full AP bar to do anything noticeable. I keep seeing the sentiment that moonkin is strong in pvp, but mine definitely feels weak.

s15 and s14 were among the best seasons we had. 7, 8, and 10 were amazing as well.

A lot of you haven’t played at a pace faster than WoD and it shows, not that it’s a bad thing.

This is still pretty slow compared to bis geared characters from icc/rs 25 heroic from wotlk.

There are issues like hybrid off healing being too high and shadowtrike teleporting the rogue on command. Warrior kyrian covenant as well is really bad/unhealthy, but as far as game pace goes it’s pretty much perfect.

Well, the PvP dev left Blizzard during the beta’s focused PvP testing period.

I don’t know what happened behind the scenes, but that probably wasn’t good for PvP tuning.

Lol you named most of the popular PvP specs in the game. If they’re all OP then the game has to be pretty balanced, albeit balanced around being overtuned lol

you missed unholy DK on that list darling…

Anyway… it seems like a lot of specs are doing well… maybe ask for some buffs instead? Like, be smart?

They are using the Convoke ability.

Well, i know this is wrong. Rarely run into this.
