The latest forum changes borked some things I think. Hover over the avatar and the link is still active that shows the name-server. For most browsers it is the bottom left of the screen where it shows link previews.

I’m going to try to provide a bit of clarity here on a few things. The normal functionality of the forums allow for a single user to post from an account. This is how all of our other game forums work (i.e. Overwatch, StarCraft, Diablo, etc…). That is the original functionality. The World of Warcraft forums have always allowed player to post using their characters, showing their class, realm, link to their achievements and experience, etc… When we were switching to a new forum system we wante…

if we had a pinned tag, that would be great because we really need it for this post here as it gets lost in the snow a lot with the topic being busy lol

I implore you to show me a single case of either of those things in recent times. If true, you have tools at hand to stop it today. I personally haven’t seen anything even rising near that bar, but if I missed it please correct me. I will report the offenders as well to try to stop the behavior towards you. The World of Warcraft forums have always allowed player to post using their characters, showing their class, realm, link to their achievements and experience, etc… When we were switching to a new forum system we wanted to retain that functionality, because that is how it has always worked. Unfortunately, the default functionality of the system did not allow for it, so some tweaks needed to be made to allow it for WoW.

It works, but there are limitations in it that has been less than stellar.

That has provided feedback both internally and externally, which will eventually see some changes to help resolve those issues. It is not a simple task though, it takes time.

There is so much support here for b-tags, it’s amazing. Harassment and stalking an issue for you? B-tags make it easy to put an entire account on ignore and you no longer have to worry! It’s a superior system and since harassment and stalking is such an issue for the anti’s, it’s great to see that, even though they don’t want to admit it, they’re actually providing support for b-tags

I’m still waiting to see how you can be stalked or harassed with them and since the anti-taggers can’t articulate in any coherent way how that happens, I look forward to being able to put their whole accounts on ignore!

Oh pretty sure you’re talking about yourself again. And here the thing about btag friends. If people are stalking you thru some1 else that’s just creepy and I dont believe people have enough time and care to follow around forum posters in game. If anything it’ll be the anti who do it. I personally have receive in-game mail and whispers from people that I’ve offended w/ just my character alone. Now if we remove the character name and just have btags guess what people wont know who my character name is or what sever I’m from

• They want to be able to troll (Ard, Moondoggie) argue opinions that the people that they know might not like (Arf) “blow off steam” by attacking people (Lil) and “speak their mind” (Tai, Yzerman) without what they said or did being traced back to their mains, or other alts
• They don’t want their friends/family/people they flirt with/guilds that have expectations for the public behavior of their members to recognize their Btag when they do this and tie the behavior back to them
• They don’t want people on the forums to be able to tie back hyperbolic, trolling or offensive posting back to their singular identity and tell other people that it’s safe to disregard what they’re saying by pointing to the easily-found history of their behavior
• They don’t want the forum moderators to be able to easily tie all of their problematic behavior back to them as an individual for applying stacking penalties

Basically, they want the forums to stay broken and missing key features so that they can continue to not find a better hobby than messing with people on a video game forum recreationally without any long-term consequences to their reputation.

Mods KNOW our ENTIRE accounts. They dont need Btags to see the ENTIRE account. That last statement they made in that quote is hilariously, ridiculously false.
if I swapped alts and violated the rules once on each, the mods KNOW is me on EVERY single alt lmao.

And as ive said before…IF there was a shred of integrity in all of this Id have signed onto the idea myself.
THEIR behavior, including following me around today to make irrelevant personal insults…yet again…proves that this forum can NOT be trusted with the responsibility of Btag information.
It would be better for us all if they could be…but they just cant.
