The world is making me sad

There was never a point in time where man did not destroy the planet. Enjoy the planet for what you see it as for all of this will surely end but not in our lifetime but sometime in the future for sure. Just accept your life as choices and how you behave yourself. Did you make a good decision today? Were you nice to the last person you spoke to?

Most of life is the little things in life, like did you pet your cat/dog? Did the breakfast you have this morning taste good? This is where I get my energy from. Inner Chi I call it. Harness your energy. Hang in the balance.

The wife and I both read a lot of the same idiotic news every day.
Actually, some of the stuff I find I try to hide from here because its twisted, sick crap that human beings do that not even savage animals do to each other. Humans claim to be the intelligent life on the planet. The aliens will beg to differ when they finally land and see this feces show.

My wife has to take a break from reading the news every so often. It really affects her very negatively.
Myself, nothing human filth can do surprises me at this point. I just dont let it affect me like she does.

Its ok to be informed, but dont let it affect your mental health. Its ok to take a break from it all here and there.

The world is burning but at least we don’t have to see any more mean tweets!

…and god knows those tweets were so much worse than the middle east starting to burn again…

I recommend listening to music that relaxes you. Like classical, jazz, opera, orchestral, world, and ambience music. Why not WoW music as well? There is research that these types of music relieves stress and make you feel comfy.

I was all ready to make a snarky reply that the world has seen two World Wars in the past 100 years and then I realized… WWI was more than 100 years ago now. Gah.

it’s summer, wait until winter love :kissing_heart:

what I mean is summer is the worst, hold out until winter it may get better

No, it isn’t.

The US just proved that nothing whatsoever was learned from the Vietnam debacle, the climate is changing in a way that is bad for most of the world and trying to minimize the damage has been turned into a political issue, US politics is more divisive than anytime in the last 50 years, the gains in wages that narrowed the wealth gap in the fifties and 60s due to unions and the WWII G.I. Bill have been wiped out by “right to work” laws, increased college costs, and changes to the tax code, although not as bad as the ones in the 60s, we have had another round of riots in the cites, there is a pandemic.

So, it’s not wrong that you feel that the world is messed up, figuratively on fire, but although it doesn’t rise to the level of the other world ills, the habitual misuse of the word “literally” is one more straw.

sorry love :kissing_heart:

Turn off social media, the news, the internet. Go outside and walk around. Go on a hike in a nature trail. Visit a Zoo or Aquarium. Or a museum of some kind.

We are too dependent of the internet, the internet needs us to exist, but we don’t need it to live.

Fun fact: the Taliban was seen having Fun in an Amusement Park whereas normally they would be Anti-Fun. Of course the City’s other Amusement Park had the audacity to have Statues and Props so it had to burn down.

The Taliban also got aggravated by the even worse organization ISIS of all things when it decided to bomb an Airport killing both US and Taliban People so ISIS is in big trouble as the US is now sharing info about ISIS with the Taliban(which as I have stated is starting to accept Fun).

Things are changing for the better in regards to the world it seems.

They are all for fun, as long as it doesn’t involve anything that could lead to gambling (like cards or chess) or music, or social media, or women (who shouldn’t leave home unless covered from head to toe and chaperoned by a male relative) or alcohol, or graven images or … .

Get your program, can’t tell the players without a program!”

IS and al-Qaeda are Wahhabi (a Saudi branch) and the Taliban are Deobandi (Pakistani), both are radical Sunni but have different interpretations of Sharia law. Both Iraq and Afghanistan have Shi’a minorities. Meanwhile Iran is overwhelmingly Shi’a with a Sunni minority.

On a side note, it turns out the US learned absolutely nothing in Vietnam.

Does the US learn anything about anything? We’re all just along for the ride, lets make it enjoyable for as many people as possible. :v:

I’m afraid in 20-30 years we will invade another developing nation to so-call “bring democracy to it” and end up destabilizing it. :frowning:

have you seen a doctor? medication might help love

We ultimately have to make our own happiness because many of our experiences will be negative, much of what we observe will be awful, and a number of our interactions with others will be toxic.

I know that this world and the people in it are not going to make me happy. Ever. So my choices are either to make my own happiness in the midst of all the misery, or just be miserable. I choose the former.

Everything and everyone will absolutely unequivocally kill your spirit if you let it.

Try listening to this. When Covid hit, and I was stuck in my studio, I felt a bit glumly and anxious because I was so used to going outside and attending events.

I came across this, and it could hopefully make you feel better:

I wanted to start dating but since Covid hit its like everyone turned on each other.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH GET YOUR COVID AWAY FROM ME AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YOUR GOING TO KILL ME AHHHHHHHHHHHH.”

It really ruined my chances to fall in love and get married and have kids. Really depressing now. Thanks Covid.

I really feel bad for all those that Covid hurt and killed.

Aw, don’t be hard on yourself.

You can still start dating and find someone. When covid is over, try to meet some people or go to a social event and from there you’ll find someone. I promise <3

Or you could use online dating sites like eHarmony or Tinder. Modern-day problems require modern day solutions.

My best advice is this, turn off the news. Go outside and enjoy the sunlight and hear the sounds of nature.
