The queues are pure anguish and completely unnecessary. Please, pretty please, don’t make us wait a month while we complain and suffer until you finally put layering back in. Or just be honest with us and tell us layering is never coming back and long queues are the new normal, then we can all decide whether the frustration is worth it or not.
Yeah, I don’t get why they removed layering at all without addressing the server queue issue - and also the black lotus issue on top of that.
I think that meme where the hulk gives that one dude a taco pretty much explains how it is when blizzard fixes any problem but instead of a taco it’s just a bigger problem.
Seriously, why did layering get removed when this was inevitable? Now we can expect to see people AFK logging all day long to make sure they are online for raids again… FANTASTIC.
Conspiracy suggests they did it because they recently closed free transfers, so they want people to transfer off before they reopen them to, “fix” the issue they caused.
Was like 5 hours before the fix they implemented atleast.
There are 17 low and medium population US servers that don’t have any queues. Transfer and you’ll never have to sit in a queue again.
man I’ve been on Whitemane since name reservation. I shouldn’t have to move because blizzard can’t figure out how to manage their own servers. Its completely fair to expect them to figure their mess out now. Removing laying when its obvious to anyone queues would immediately return is literally brain dead and should be embarrassing for them.
Please add layering back to Whitemane. I understand if it was a short queue but during prime-time the queue is 1-2 hours now. Layering is better than this mess
because next phase contains a server-wide open world event. not layer-wide.
everybody wants to be a whitemane
If this is true, that the AQ event cannot coexist with layering, then those of us on Whitemane and other queue snarled servers are in a hopeless situation. The queues will only get worse once the war effort starts. I’m starting to feel depressed.
I don’t know why they turned it off only a few weeks after turning it back on.
Please ban wave bots on Whitemane so we don’t have queues anymore. They are replicating and are online farming 24/7 stopping legit humans from playing…
they could make it layer-specific.
3 times the pop, 3 times the effort seems fair to me.
That sounds like an endless fix to the problem that actualy would only benefit one person/thing, blizzard. Imagine a world, if you will, where we all transfer to new servers every 2 months becuase layers were removed. I mean why would they ever want to put them back in if it made them more money to just have us pay them to skirt around a problem they control. That’s like buying a new phone every month because the old one is cheaply made and breaks instead of just switching to another maker. Guess who’s happy in that instance? The phone company.
Also, low/medium realms are aids, you don’t want to play on those. Barely any economy, hard to find groups, you need a high pop realm to have access to everything, it’s an MMO not a single player game.
@Snape
I remember stopping in Redridge Mountains and took a screenshot next to you on my way to the Badlands at like level 40
I killed your friend, but let you live lol.
Player feedback is good. If the queues are getting worse on a server, tell Blizzard. Let them know. Make sure they notice.
There are countless players that “want” something they can’t have. This isn’t a custom game. You can’t afford one. You’re playing a dirt-cheap game, so you have to live with rules that kinda work…for some players…sometimes.
Blizzard cannot control players. If you only want to play on Whitemane, then you will play on Whitemane. That hasn’t changed.
But Blizzard is dealing with the pandemic and server overpopulation. They hope players will move OFF of Whitemane. So the last thing they are going to do is make it easier to play ON Whitemane.
don’t play on whitemane
As long as they leave the transfer locks in place, it shouldn’t get worse until phase 5 drops, then it will be massive queues for a couple weeks while people burn the new content and open the gates then they will subside again.
Its laughable that blizzard said the queues on the hot balanced servers weren’t caused by transfers. There is evidence this is the case, you can simply look at the population stats on the public raid logs, and on my server at least, the population was increasing rapidly until they cut them off. It has been near perfectly level ever since the cut off. Prior to that we were getting 3-600 immigrants a week.
