Sorry mate, based on your posts, I figured you had to be from the US because of your belief that you are always right, and your memory has no errors in it.
My background pegs that attitude to USA.
-Mages had 4 elementals when wow was fun.
-There was a time when Shaman were only Horde. They didn’t exist for the Alliance. Shaman were totem casters and had no elementals at all whey wow was fun.
-Very sad, I would have expected better from an Australian than one who doesn’t have the thinking process capabilities to discuss a subject without reverting to name calling.
Really, a “terrible troll”. Come on you can do better than that… Do your research!
water elemental is more iconic for mages than a friggen wizard hat. the first warcraft that was their ultimate ability, a water elemental (vs the horde warlock demon).
counterpoint, every class having a pet that isn’t warlock or hunters is dumb, I dont want shadow priest pets, I don’t want mage pets, I don’t want elemental shaman pets, I want to cast spells. Maybe just me, just my two cents
I’ve played this mage since January of 2005, and the only elemental we ever had was the water elemental that was added in The Burning Crusade. I don’t know what kind of Bloodthistle you’re taking, but stop making things up.
My man gets it. If water elemental is so important to all these mages, they should be celebrating, since now it’s getting more play than it’s evet seen since MoP.
There’s a reason why you can’t prove your silly claims.
yep.
congrats on admitting you were wrong about one thing.
now you just need to get brave and own your other mistakes.
i believe in you.
you can do it.
it’s not name calling.
it’s an observation.
you’re quite literally trolling with your fake “facts”.
I don’t need to.
The burden of proof is on you.
You’re the one making the silly claims.
I’m not going to waste time trying “research” something which never happened.
Hey, you should totally research that time people went walking on the sun!!
For the sake of repeating myself, the 4 mage elementals were a fact!
Will you also admit that you were 1/2 wrong on the Shaman always existing (It didn’t exist for the Alliance) and totally wrong on the Shaman always having having elementals?
BTW: as you suggested, I researched the time people went “walking on the sun”… seems it only happened in the lost memories of a few WoW players, who set themselves up as ultimate authorities who refuse to admit when they are wrong and someone else is right…
Was it stupid that blizz never got the memo that no one used the elemental because the talent was always garbage? Sure. Was it even more ludicrous due to the fact that they have the data to tell them this the whole time? Yep. Could they have done something about it? Yep. Did they have ample time do so? Yep. Could they have turned it into a solo tanking pet? Yep. So did anyone ever use it? Nope.
But do I care that it’s gone? Nope. Why? See above.
I also liked my elemental. It wasn’t a strong tank like a voidwalker but it did allow for more creative solutions in a squishy class. I will miss mine for so many more reasons. It felt less “alone” when playing solo late into the evening. Given the chance I would have voted to let individual frost mages decide to keep it or not.
So I’ve got good news that many here probably found out on your own but I’m going to say it anyways. You can glyph the elemental you spawn from the cooldown to be the blue skin again. Also for those like myself who miss having the water elemental by your side and maybe want even a tiny one to serve as your elemental’s kid for those of us who the elemental was dear… you can get a blue water elemental pet called Seafury from a rare elite in Vashir. Found this all out today and happy to say I’ve got enough to convince me to spare my frost mage from being ignored.
Could always use the little companion pet water elementals and work something in there. But I agree, losing water elemental was unfortunate all around even if people didn’t utilize it often.
