It already does. The group gets an extra piece of gear for timing a key compared to not timing it.
I was wrong.

Timing a key rewards extra crests as it stands.
Was that changed? or did i just never noticed it in DF?
I dipped out of this season super early so.
Eh pretty sure the extra piece of loot hasn’t been a thing for quite some time. It’s just extra crests now.
I knew about extra crests but i thought they removed the extra loot back in SL.
For mythic track gear and farming gilded crests for upgrades and crafted gear?
Actual, end game gear?
Yes.
Or maybe most players are farming 8/8 mythic rather than braving a +10?
Oh, if they changed that in DF I must have missed it. Skipped that xpac.
It was in SL at some point I think. But I skipped SL so couldn’t say exactly when lol.
no they changed that back in SL dude. When they added the great vault they resduced loot drops from both Raid and M+
You only ever get 2 items at the end of a m+ thats it.
It was the start of SL, its because they put the great vault in. which is another reason i hate the great vault.
M+ is the one thing that Blizz will change based on feedback (or at least claim to), because it’s the one thing in retail WoW that consistently has engagement metrics to back up the complaints and those metrics are what Blizz really looks at.
Still, the only way to balance out no depletion is by giving no rewards for failing a key. Timer expires before you’re finished? Kick back to the start and try again. Missed it by one second? Sucks for you.
Except by doing that you jsut make key leaving worse.
That’s just straight-up incorrect.
I don’t think so. That system starts at +12 not lower.

Never too late to petition a nerf to mythic raiding then
Well, maybe Darkflame Cleft won’t be so terrible after all.
nope. it’s going to suck.

Scroll a couple posts up in that conversation chain.
Since this is being decoupled you should expand this to all keystones. So if a player has completed all keys on a +3, keys at or below it cant deplete, etc.
A smoother ramp in difficulty will help prevent players from being placed into difficulty levels they’re not ready for. These changes do the opposite of what you’re saying.
No. It makes lower levels easier while giving the same rewards.
Means faster and easier acquisition of better gear. Going through the levels faster. We’ve already seen this DF S3 and S4. People claiming they did better and got further in those seasons and TWW is so much harder (its not) because of the ease of the on ramp.
At least with the start of the seasons and crests being at 9 and at a lower rate, the gear gap between players who could do the content and not grew apart (until the end of season where we are now). So its was more discernable.
Now with crests lowered to 7, dungeons made easier, and gear acquired faster, that gap isnt going to draw apart near as quickly
