The War Within Season 2 Mythic+ Updates Ahead

Failing the run encourages players to invite overqualified players instead of underqualified ones. It has nothing to do with the key depleting.

If I’m creating a run, even without depletion, I’m going to invite players that look like they’ll make the run as quick and easy as possible. If that means 4 636s in my +8 compared to 4 605s, that’s what I’m going with. Depletion being removed wouldn’t change that at all.

Because anyone who was looking at delves, M+, and raids side by side could see that the content which dropped hero pieces but was doable at 412 was the outlier and the issue, not M+.

So we’re going back to another inflated m+ season?

S2 3000io = S1 2500
S2 2500io = S1 2000

And everyone plataued on Hero gear in half the time…

Lame

As someone that’s avoided anything other than Tier 8 delves in S1, I’m kinda looking forward to dealing with playing with randoms X-D

630ilvl with 2700+ is not impressive for +10, it’s 635+ with 2800-3000.

The people only want the vaults, aka +10, and don’t care about the crest reward. Overqualified specs with 2800-3000 applying for +10 because they just want to fill the vaults.

fair point

I mean, knee capping M+ and removing the onramp was a massive issue with M+ as well. Gutting the levels that reward various tracks and crests also did not help.

Im not saying 1 was more of the issue causer then the other, but both disrupted the gearing process in their own way.
M+ killing low level keys killed the on ramp into m+, Delves being so over accessible for gear only compounded the problem.

This is absolutely untrue. I ran a bunch of +8s just for easy crests this season because that is where my crests for crafting 636 gear came from.

Because it was guaranteed crests compared to the risk of failure and rage quits that +10 carried.

Most of the changes seem aimed at making things easier for 10 and below while keeping things challenging for 12 and above. Great changes for both casuals and key pushers.

Ok? It’s higher than you can achieve by doing anything below +10 or even +10 itself.

Is this a weird sort of number 1 contest?

I too agree M+ is evil

The problem was nobody wanted to do M+, largely because of all the things that just got changed.

And how many actually bothered to do that at that ilvl? Is there some polishing up that could be done for Delves? Sure but anyone paying attention knew they would be kicking the hornet’s nest if they touched Delves.

Blizzard has been very vocal on the on-ramp for M+ AFAIK.

Uh…what? The first +10 I did on my rogue was like 2.2k and 617. Priest was roughly same.

Maybe NOW because the season is almost over and general player power has creeped due to weekly vault rewards but back in October or November it absolutely wasn’t.

Pretty much.
M+ was just not worth the headache this season. To much effort, for to little gear.
I had to be doing a 7+ in order to make it matter because champion gear was raing from teh heavens, atop that, even heroic items were easy and reliable to come by via delves.

M+ had no onramp, reduced rewards, increased difficulty and effort, and increase punishment for taking unskilled players due to the timers.

All in all it resulted in Delves just being the smarter choice for wanting to gear up. If your goal was simply to get full heroic geared.

Eh not really.

Over inflation of rating leads to false sense of skill. Getting better gear and rating a lot faster is going to have people thinking they can go into content theyre not ready for.

And even for 12s+ they made them easier.

-no post history
-low level character
-low level classic character at that
-lack of intelligent posts

Make it less obvious next time, man

Anyways these are good changes overall. Hopefully friends will come and play the game again

I was explaining the over-exaggerated requirements by a number of “guaranteed clear” groups.

On a side note, I carried a number of 610’s in my final +10 clears. It wasn’t fun.

Since this is being decoupled you should expand this to all keystones. So if a player has completed all keys on a +3, keys at or below it cant deplete, etc.
