I mean yeah, that alone is going to kill normal raid, legit normal raid has no reason to exist now.
Do a world tour each week and boom, out pace normal raid.

Very good changes. Now reward mythic track vault at 8 or 9 and M+ will be awesome again.
There’s one important thing to take into consideration
Guild runs, a guild can funnel loot to members in a raid/M+. You can’t funnel loot to others in Delves, if you ever do one in a group you’ll notice the loot can’t be traded.
Guess Mythic 7 is the target then.
M+ needs depletion at low levels. There is no way around that. The timer and risk of depletion are what make the mode challenging.
Not being skilled, geared or coordinated enough to complete the content should carry a consequence. Just like losing rating in arenas. That’s the tradeoff for the mode being infinitely spammable.
For a large portion of the M+ pug community it already was because this was a “get KSM and get out” kind of season for many.
Yea i think its mechanically bad vs scaling and other change bad
Yea i couldnt think of how to word it better but raid and m+ you dont have enough gear drop for 1:1 gear to player. Bountiful Delves you personally have 100% chance to get gear which you dont in any other endgame pillar
They effectively did this by reducing the scaling; S2 will have a +10 add 84% scaling to the key as opposed to 136% for the current season. Comparing to this season, S2 +10 will be slightly easier than S1 +8 (+95% scaling).
Why should we even need a “key” in the first place that depletes at all? Just make the whole thing like the delve difficulty level selection where you run it once to unlock the next level.
I’d care more about bothering to learn the mechanics of m+ dungeons and bother trying to go to high keys if I could just go run one dungeon at a time multiple times in a row without having to go find a random pug with the right key sitting in lfg that may or may not align with my ideas of timing, route, when to give up, etc.
The depletion system is heavily encourage anyone to invite overqualified specs for gilded crests and +10. S1 TWW is having that problem, 635+ with 2800-3000 applying for +10. updates won’t stop overqualified specs to applying +10
so Mythic+0 drops Champion gear and that means LFR mog will be more hard to get since for some pieces you need use the Catalyst
Well, maybe Darkflame Cleft won’t be so terrible after all.
To be honest I was expecting they’d nerf Delve rewards but alas they did not
It does and it doesn’t.
Folks will always want guaranteed keys via over gearing and high IO. That’s an us problem.
S1 made the issue worse. +10 required 2.7k+ IO and 630 ilvl min. It was hard to succeed and we pushed the boundary of “guarantee” even harder.
That has nothing to do with the depletion system.
They kinda did, IIRC they are capping maps at 1 a week. So there is a nerf there, but they cant gut their flag ship, and honestly only decent thing from this expansion in the expansion they introduced it.
It does, The depletion system encourages us to take minimum risks aka inviting overqualified meta specs for +7-10.
Why would they? They flat out acknowledged it was an issue on M+ end.
Nah that’s the crest reward system that carries this “issue” if it can be called that. Timed = more crests. Untimed = less crests.
These changes are nothing short of a strong statement that this was the case. Not that they hadn’t already said as much.
Very good changes, as predicted, Season 2 will be even easier than S1. 10s, imo, look to be pretty free with the reduced scaling and no Challengers Peril.
Looking forward to trying to push to 3k for the first time and get KSL.
