Was able to finish a couple quests, but then DC’d. With all the DC’s and people not able to log in, I was AMAZED at how many people were already standing around the quest giver in Gadgetzan, already completing the two quests she gives, etc. There had to be 200 ppl just standing there and another 40 or 50 out doing the quest, before I got there, and I didn’t dilly dally around in SW. Strange that people already had the quest completed or were in the middle of it…seemingly as the servers were dc’d and crashing…

I love Beta testing. I have been lucky enough to be in several WOW betas and really took an honest, detailed approach to the whole system. I did not pre-order so I am sitting on my hands right now waiting for an invite that will not come. I wish everyone the best and I hope you enjoy the access. I know it seems hopeless sometimes, but please take the time to write detailed bug reports and meaningful feedback. I am sure there is at least one dev out there looking at them. Have fun all!

Has anyone encountered not being able to log in due to “A player with this name already exits” ? Error prevents me from logging into Beta. I have restarted everything, with no success.
Suggestions very welcome and problem already reported in game.
EDIT: Logging out for intervals of 5 minutes then logging back in seems to be the best solution (for myself at least) to this issue. Thank you everyone.

The campfire screen looks good, but it would be nice to get beyond that. I mean why say something is live, if it’s clearly not ready.

Cannot complete first quest without being disconnected then stuck in game.
I get character creation failed

Just happened to me. Thought I might have been logging on too fast after being DCd.

Yep! Same here! I logged in and created a new character, but can’t actually login to the game! I took screenshots of everything too. This is very disappointing.
Dear Blizzard WoW Team:
We prepaid $97 + for the Epic Edition of the game, myself included, to get Beta Access, not to experience epic fail login issues and not be able to actually play the War Within! What is going on here, Blizzard Team!?
Please fix this login bug issue! It’s ridiculous! This should not be happening. How could you not be prepared for this and make sure your customers / players don’t experience this awful buggy login issue, especially after we PAID for early Beta Access! This is really messed! -
I hope this is fixed and resolved soon, Blizzard Team. This is not a good way to launch a Beta for a game as awesome as WoW! You can do better than this. Aside from the fact that WoW is my favorite game of all time, this issue is very disappointing. Please fix this login issue asap. Thank you. - JJ -

I’m trying to get as many materials as possible from the profession vendor then I bail out of Orgrimmar! I get DC’d every couple interaction with the vendor.
Agree. I can’t even post the issue on the beta forums since for some reason it doesn’t let me post or reply. Maybe because I haven’t been able to create or copy a character yet?
