If I could stay logged in to the beta for more than 15 seconds I would maybe try to see what it is like.
But that’s after the chaos of trying to create a character (Buggy as hell), load up a realm list (Can give LUA error), try to see if the Warband system works (Not from what I see), select a character and then try to log in.
Wait 30 seconds to a minute for something to happen, see the log in bar finally hit 100%, see the Stormwind street just inside the gate, start to do something and then kicked out of the game and back to the reconnect button.
Now I know Beta first hours/days are chaotic and very prone to bugs and errors and things like that, but I get the feeling that the Hamsters you have working for the Beta servers are half dead and exhausted and need some friends. They just don’t have the energy to dealw ith all the players trying to log in and play the Beta.
Add in that I am coming from across the Pacific in Australia and the servers will drop me faster because I am high latency, thus making frustration higher.
Some bugs I have discovered:
Can’t delete a character I created from the warband screen.
Character creation sometimes fails. Toss up if the character is actually created and is in the Warband list.
Can’t copy any characters from live servers. Won’t even load up the list of them.
Warband doesn’t seem to list all characters created. I have three on two different realms, but it only displays two.
Logging in to the server to try and play takes a very long time.
If I get logged in, I will be booted within 30 seconds.
To the people saying, “This is beta, there will be issues.”
We’re supposed to be beta testing The War Within… not beta testing servers
Can’t test the game while getting disconnected constantly. Worst beta experience I’ve experienced so far. Should have stress tested Alpha in last phase to prepare for this. /shrug
No copy character available, can’t create a character (character creation failed), and just when I logged in for fun, loading bar stuck at 90%, then dc’d
I can’t copy characters and the “The War Within Level Up” template, which I assume gave you a 70 to start TWW with, creates a level 1 - if you are lucky and it creates anything at all.
Is character copy actually available? Is the template supposed to be 70? If it’s all just broken right now, that’s fine, I’ll come back later. But if its supposed to work, I’ll keep trying.
I was able to log in to Alleria, copy account data and key binds, create an Earthen character, and copy a character from my account. I have since not been able to log in to either character because my loading screen goes most of the way through, pause, then disconnect me.
You probably won’t get one- it is auto available for those who bought the epic edition. You should be able to download it under “under development” in the app. Right now, though, not really any point because we get dc’d almost instantly if we can get on at all
I hope you are going to fix and address the awful login issues with this new Beta for the War Within, because it seems NO ONE can actually login or stay in the game without constantly getting disconnected, and I have been trying for nearly an hour and still can’t login to the early “BETA Access” of the War Within!
I didn’t pay $97+ to experience these ridiculous and unacceptable login issues! I paid, like everyone else, for the Epic Edition of my favorite Blizzard game to get early Beta Access, try out and play the game, not deal with this login disaster! This is messed up and just wrong to do to your players / customer!
I hope you, Blizzard WoW Team and Management, resolve this login bug issue for this new Beta for the War Within as soon as possible. This is very disappointing. Thank you. - JJ -
