The Voices Within, new collection of short stories announced

And the poster’s point is we are not even sure you guys like Gazlowe. Like someone even posted about how he is some union buster or something.

I don’t think it becomes a one man operation more than it is simply not greed for greed’s sake. There are other goblin “leader” characters like Revilgaz, Noggenfogger, they might even promote someone like Sassy Hardwrench.

Like the orc clans it would appear one unit to the player but have little tribes in the story.

Personal belief, but I’m thinking that the three years of non-hostilities from the major factions has devastated the goblins. Their inventions were classically more popular than the gnomes because of how warlike everyone on Azeroth was, and goblin’s build everything around gunpowder and explosives (e.g. they couldn’t even build a Walkman without it killing it’s user, and someone probably bought it to use as a weapon that way.)

If everyone has chilled out for a few years, their sales have likely tumbled. I’m thinking the gravy train from being neutral has dried up for Steamwheedle, there may even be an uprising against Trade Princes altogether in the Undermine; all of which could address criticisms about goblins being tied into some extremely tired anachronistic tropes. We’ll just have to wait.

I just know if the devs are serious about going full bore with peace between the factions, then it makes total sense that the non-Bilgewater goblins are going to be the first ones who feel the pain from that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Jaina gives them permission due to the interactions she’s had with them.

I have to admit, I think I’m more interested in seeing Arator get some development than most of the cast on that list (although Thrall’s son is absolutely a close second).

Well, it says it is a coming-of-age story, and he should be around 10-11 years old, the latter if DF took place during a full one year. And orcs are fully grown and considered adults by the age of 12. So it seems that it will be an interesting story of a youngling on the cusp of adulthood, which will be fun.

Gazlowe being included in the snippet seems out of left field for me. I wonder if that means we’ll see something to do with the Undermine in TWW’s patch cycle.

I think keeping faction balance in the book is more important. Anyway, for all we know, the Gazlowe story will be fantastic and make lots of new fans for him.

Except we dont even know the faction balance in said book is! For all we know it ultimately ends up with slightly more Horde(or more Alliance) stories.

If it has more Horde stories, then I will agree that they should replace a Horde story with one about Dagran.

I really wish the Shadowlands to Dragonflight timeskip was 10 years, just so we can skip Durak’s teenage years and go right to adulthood. I just can’t stand cringey teen stories.

Cosmic plot for the alliance. Puberty problems and communist Goblin uprising for the Horde.

Blizzard really hates the Horde.

by the time of Shadows Rising Talanji was 18 and the youngest race leader. Dragonflight happens 5 years after Shadowlands was over. So she is 25 now. That is 7 years. Add that to Durak and you have his canon age too.

No one cares about Gazlowe. He is not even a real Goblin.

Betrayed the Zandalari when he agreed to the peace treaty I want him to never show is ugly old geezer face ever again.

Every race is humanized now and is losing all nuances and race characterization that made them cool before didn’t you year? Why the flip you think they killed AU Grom and ousted Gallywix? Can’t have leaders who aren’t willing to partake in the big kumbaya fest of azeroth with Stormwind in the lead.

Just like Shaw and Flynn did on Horde lands? Rexxar and Zekhan did on the Draenei islands?

He supported Talanji’s vote to restart the war…they just didnt have enough of the other leaders to vote yes.

No the initial meeting. That was before Talanji showed up. Same goes for the elves.

God I so wish Gazlowe actually were a communist and not absolutely a capitalist with slight socdem tendencies

I think that a communist goblin would be such a reversal of goblin stereotypes and societal expectations that it would be extremely hard to pull it off without it coming off like a Budd Nedreck level parody delegated to throwaway comedy questlines.

Which is basically the entire Horde right now. They did it with Orcs and Trolls before and turned their whole culture around.

If you can tell it I totally hate pretty much every council member right now.

Can you go away and seek mental health counseling? Not a single person on this forum respects you or takes you seriously.
