Alliance elf paladins.
Well if they AGAIN could get over their ego, theyād say āWeāre giving you Night Elf paladins cause we implemented a Night Elf paladin NPC in Legion so clearly they can BE Paladins and weāve heard you want Night Elf Paladins so here players! Nelf Paladins! Enjoy!ā
But no.
ā¦or make playable high elf paladins. I would be good with that.
Iāll probably have a Paladin and Hunter if they ever happen, I like my Void Elves fine enough for the darker classes and even felt strong desire to switch my Dark Iron Warlock to a Void Elf. (mainly because the passive racial is just easier to manage in this GCD-filled climate.)
I like Night Elf for Rogue or Druid, but High Elf is definitely a good choice for a Paladin or Hunter, Iām an alt-o-holic so Iām not just entirely an elf player though and I have way more Worgen characters than any other race.
Same here. Iād still need to have at least one alt of the other elves.
In a perfect world, Iād have:
High Elf Mage
Void Elf Warlock
Night Elf Druid
ā¦ man I wish an elf species could be shaman on either side. THAT Iād be so down for. Any chance High Elves get taught how to tap into the elements from hanging out with the Wildhammers and I can play a High Elf shaman?!?
Oh wow ā¦ i think I just wet my pants.
Weak. Iād delete all my characters (including my main) if that meant I could play has a High elf
While I want to play High Elves and think adding them would fix one of the biggest mistakes Blizz has made, theyāre not my most anticipated possible Allied Race/Core Race. That would be the Vulpera and Mechagnomes. There might have been a time I put High Elves at #1 on my list though.
Maybe, but I do think the prereqs for AR are more of a Venn diagram rather than an actual list. We have on one hand the ābeing an off shoot of a previous raceā and on the other the āReuses an existing rigā
And I think that Vulpera use a lot of the Goblin rig, in a way that it would feel cheap if they became a āNew Race.ā So does that mean that Vulpera canāt be an AR? Not necessarily, cause we could still end up seeing other AR sharing a rig, but having another origin (For example, Sethrak, who are a lot based on Worgen rigs)
I wear a cowl to pretend I have never been a Void Elf! And a helmet on my warrior, and another cowl on my Ranger ;D
Iām getting my High Elves whether Blizzard wants it or not thanks to TRP!
Oh lol thatās way too hardcore, I like my blood elf chars! and my orcs, my trolls, my humans, my tauren, my draenei, my dwarf, my gnomeā¦
Honestly High Elves have never been a dealbreaker for me. itās just unfathomably silly that they arenāt playable already.
I used to like my Blood elves, but Iām tired of being a bad guy. Even during thrallās horde, BEās are scum bags, and the BE government is super corrupt has well.
Not everyone was this way. I remember many of the Rangers and Farstriders were much more pleasant to be around in the outsides of Eversong Woods and the Ghostlands.
I was also quite fond of the Scryers, and several members of the Argent Crusade.
There are good and bad eggs in every race.
I like that Blood Elves are morally flexible and focused on survival. They are interesting. I like how they play they cards to stay afloat and donāt let lofty ideals of morality dictate their actions when the existence of their people is at stake.
I like High Elves for the opposite reason. They let sticking to their ethics guide their future, they are elves that have been since before the 2nd Ward moving against the grain. āIāll stay in Dalaranā "I wonāt leave the alliance āI wonāt mana tapā They stick to their beliefs and code of conduct even to the detriment of their existence as a unique group. But it doesnāt mean they donāt change, only that they do in a way they feel is in line to the morals they have followed.
Thatās why I love both Blood Elves and High Elves. They both answered the same question differently, and I canāt say either is wrong.
Thatās the reason why I tolerate Void Elves at best, their motives are off and marred by an inorganic narrative that doesnāt follow cause-consequence in a believable fashion.
āWe wanted more power to defend Silvermoon, but then we got exiled and saved by a member of the alliance, so now we are going to be part of that and make Silvermoon return to the Alliance -even when it is almost improbable to ever happen- because we didnāt actually care for the Horde that much even when in Quelāthalas moment of need, it was the Horde what kept our realm safe.ā
There are ways to make this make sense and iron out the kings, but even this explanation is more expository than anything we have gotten in game. And I like the VE motives more as I can read it than any good narrative the game has given me.
Initially i planned only to race change my Night Elf Mage into a High Elf, i tried to convince myself i was playing with a Highborne but i got sick of the disproportional female Night Elf model, lack of appropriate customization and the goofy animations.
Nowadays iām also convinced to do the same with my Void Elf Hunter too, the model and the animations are perfect but then the purple/blue hair and skin limitations that donāt fit with any decent Hunter transmog combined with the Void thematic that have nothing to do with Rangers convinced me to race change if High Elves ever happen.
I will have the RTS High Elf unit trio with my Sorcerer, Priest and Ranger.
Yeah and at this point, I donāt see why the blood elves are even with the horde still. For this exact argument IDC if theyāre with the alliance but after Sylvanas basically did an Arthas to their sister race I donāt see how you can say the horde and alliance are equal.
Would you mind telling me about the cases where the alliance had slavery or are you meaning the internment camps done by the old alliance?
Because if thatās what youāre referencing the old alliance could have just killed off every orc down to the last child and prevent themselves from locking up a race that had already proven they were warmongers.
The way I see it Sylvanas became Arthas the moment she attempted to rob the Valajar of their Valkyr, burned and desecrated an entire homeland to the ground, and started raising the dead and stopped giving out free will.
The new alliance is better than the old one, stop griping on the faults of old kings long dead and putting all their sins on the new leaders.
Your post is very off topic, but linking it to the thread, people like to say that High Elves and Void Elves are traitors for not joining Quelāthalas and the Horde or āabandoningā them, truth is nowadays they fight for Anduin while the Blood Elves fight for Sylvanas.
Who is doing better in this sense?
Pretty sure Zepp is referring to the Orc internment camps. Which- as you pointed out were a mercy compared to what most people probably would have wanted to do to the Orcs for slaughtering so many people and causing so much damage.
As far as racism, heās likely referring to Garithos. A man who fell into his position due to no one else being available and being greatly disliked among his peers- and by no means set an example for the rest of the Alliance. Especially given how close-knit the Alliance is these days.
As far as Dwarves being isolationistsā¦ I donāt see it. Theyāre among the most amiable races and a large portion of the Alliance forces. You see emā everywhere and theyāre always willing to help. The recent prominence of the Wildhammers and Dark Irons have only helped their cause.
Thatās why I chose cowls (Tal here BTW) looking at her from the back I can almost forget she is a Void Elf lol.
Looking good Tal!
Always do, babe ;D
Donāt think I swing that way, but you do you! XD
