Legion Allied Races: New races and ideas
Future Allied Races: Old player demands? Hopefully.
Watching the replying bar light up and itâs nothing but Void Elves.
I rest my case.
I personally find that subjective. Different people find different things âcool.â
I personally find a ânatureâ theme âcoolerâ than a âvoidâ theme.
But thatâs subjective.
Do you think people here only care about a race being cool? You clearly donât understand us.
Also just in case you forgot: forcing out to us how the Void Elves are cool and superior to the High Elves is not going to make us stop asking for the second.
At the rate Zandalari are growing theyâre likely to overtake Void Elves by a large margin. Give a few years they may even outnumber Blood Elves at level cap.
Maybe they are, but maybe they arenât. If Blizz feels like it makes business sense those feelings are super relevant.
There was a time when Classic was never going to happen. The communityâs feelings about that made they go to private servers that offered that. Blizz got the message that money was being left on the table. If they feel theyâre leaving money not the table by not fulfilling a 14 year old player request then the feelings of the Pro High Elfers matter very much.
Your attempt at invalidating those feeling however is reductionist and insulting.
I like Void Elves for a number of reasons.
They are the only race on Alliance that has males that look decent. I absolutely LOVE most of the racials (Spatial Rift is kinda meh but since it doesnât affect my performance I can overlook it). The heritage armor looks amazing AND itâs not a friggin dress! I love Telogrus and the void themes that Void Elves have and am hopeful that maybe someday Iâll be able to customize all my spells to be that blue-black void color like the Heritage wings.
I think the lack of setup (as in there is none prior to unlock) and their origin (Blood Elves instead of High Elves), really hurt Void Elves. I think that had High Elves come first, and Void Elves come later (with more setup and High Elf origin), that thereâd be less criticism of Void Elves overall.
You still are doing snarky responses based on the race of the character we use?
Would you like if do the same and call all Blood Elf posters snowflakes? See how ridiculous this is?
You never had a case to begin with.
What race weâre playing is irrelevant. Iâll keep telling you that every time you make such a comment.
I have a variety of races at 120. I could swap to any one of them to post. As I said, youâre âcaseâ is empty.
Same with Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, etc. Itâs called being members of the Alliance.
Do pointy ears allow them do to a task differently from everyone else?
Subjective.
Also I find it ironic that you make the claim the Blood Elves and High Elves look the same yet suddenly Void Elves are way cooler when youâre trying to sell that as a replacement.
Itâs either you putting on a show or maybe you just really want to be a Void Elf but canât bare to pay the transfer price.
That means you can no longer introduce new arguments you know.
high elves are now blood elves and are playable
even the people who make the game/lore say this. wow
Use something newer than a trailer from 2006
i dont have to. high elves are now blood elves
ion even reiterated it recently
there is no âhigh elf comprosmise.â high elves are now blood elves. alliance should be grateful blizzard gave them access to our model at least
Why do Elisande refer to Vareesa and the Silver Covenant as High Elves if according to you the real High Elves are the Blood Elves?
Nice appeal to authority by the way.
I mean, if what heâs saying IS true, then EVERYONE would roll Void Elves, roll the same class and wear the same armor.
We are different. We like things for different reasons. We find some things more likeable over other things. Itâs human nature.
âOur modelâ the best people that came here are the Horde mains with their Alliance Alts.
Iâm not sure you guys even understand yourselves.
I can only assume you care about Void Elves looking cool when you shoot down everything else about them, including their lore, their context, their role in BFA thus far, etc.
Yet you forego all of that and make them anyway. Doesnât make sense to most looking in on this discussion.
Dude, I respect a lot of your opinions despite not agreeing with most of them. I think you come off as a mostly reasonable guy for the most part.
I am seriously disappointed in you every time I see you do this. Itâs by far the worst take in this entire mess. I want to think youâre better than this, but every time I do you keep doing it again.
It. Does. Not. Matter. What. Race. Theyâre. Posting. From.
People can have a wide spectrum of reasons for why they made the character they did and itâs none of your business what that is in any case. Period. Theyâre also still allowed to express opinions, criticism, and requests.
If you have to resort to treating someoneâs opinion as not mattering because of BS like this it just implies that you have no actual basis to argue the other side with in the first place.
why does elisande sound confused when addressing the alliance elves? she literally says âqueldorei???â and even finishes with âyou are unworthy of the name high elves!â
and do these alliance elves even make it out of suramar? it would explain why they are missing in the bfa faction war
I think I broke down why I like Void Elves pretty well a few posts up.
you can make all the assumptions you want, it doesnât make them true.
My choice of which character to play/post with doesnât matter in regards to me desire for High Elves.
It matters when its mostly the same race of people posting in here.
It matters that this race was clearly a compromise for High Elves.
It matters that despite weak lore, something proponents of High Elves claim to care about, yet throw it out the window to roll the pretty Velves.
These things definitely matter. They are actions not lining up with words.
