this is why you are not the one that designs characters and races in this game. You are not creative and often lack a full understanding of them.
tbf, i dont think they will based on the devs most recent comment about them
but maybe they will, you never know. its possible
If we ever do get Wildhammer in the game I can finally make a character similar to this guy:

Warhammer Trollslayers still scream BAMF.
i like your transmog
omg youre using my face too!
Why are you not upset about Void Elves theyâre exactly that but with far less build-up and do far more damage to the Blood Elvesâ belief that the Alliance hates them and are racist to them?
But wasting an allied race spot on fat humans that only 1% of the population find an appealing option is A-OK?
I donât think you really know what Alliance players want or ask for, maybe it would help to support these claims you make?
Yes, weâre well aware of his condescension and personal disdain towards us because he swings for the red team.
It is only a theory if there is no proof behind it. There is A LOT of proof behind the Horde bias claims. Anyone that needs proof doesnât have to go far to find it.
I know that some people would like to think that there is equal treatment, but unfortunately that is impossible to be the case, just as parents say they love their children equallyâŚthat too is not the case and each parent will have their favorite, so with Blizzard they have their favorite.
The problem in Blizzardâs case is that it is overboard and killing one of the factions and they are doing nothing to stop it. That is bad for their game.
horde bias only exists in your head, my dude.
âHope fully we never have to suffer new and interesting races like Void Elves!â
-A Void Elf
This will never not be funny.
Isnât pretty clear that we donât want more âcool and newâ stuff? I donât know where the fun part is. We like organic races more.
It will also never be relevant.
It will always be relevant. Void Elves wouldnât have existed without Alliance High Elf fan desire.
If you feel Blizzard missed the mark, thatâs a separate topic. Fact is, I see more and more of you making Void Elves everyday.
âVoid Elves were not a High Elf compromise!â
âI play a Void Elf because itâs closest to High Elf!â
Looks to me like they did exactly what Blizz intended, really.
No Lydon.
It will never be relevant.
The choice of race played currently has no bearing on the validity of a race being requested, nor the criticism levied against the race being played.
I can like Void Elves (and I do, a lot in fact), and still criticize all the flaws they have and hope we donât get another race we didnât ask for.
I play a Void Elf because I like Void Elves (even despite their issues), not because they fulfill the desire for High Elves. If that were the case I wouldnât be here.
So take your snarky somewhere else.
Considering their responses, yeah, they werenât.
Your feelings are rather irrelevant on the matter.
Itâs the actions that speak. Void Elves are easily the most successful Allied Race, by any metric, by a country mile. Zandalari will likely become the closest.
If their intention was to be a compromise instead of getting High Elves, which all official reaponses regarding them would indicate, it doesnât look like a failure on their part when they have been so rapidly adopted by players, doubly so when done by the loudest voices in the High Elf thread.
Youâre not even trying Lydon.
Void Elves being successful as an allied race has no bearing on the validity of a race being requested, nor the criticism levied against the race being played.
Void Elves are a success as an allied race. This is true.
Void Elves are a failure as a âcompromiseâ for High Elves. This is also true.
The fact that High Elf fans are playing Void Elves doesnât change that. Had Void Elves been successful as a âcompromiseâ this topic would have vanished long ago. Iâm not sure why you donât get that.
Stop being obtuse.
Definitely not because theyâre like blood elves, just blueberry colored, and in the Alliance.
Their responses are that they wanted something now that people where unfamiliar with.
Or are we cherry picking again?
But no, it doesnât matter.
If anything it gives the argument more weight because he can honestly say that a Void Elf does not fulfill the spot of a High Elf. That they are different. And that Void Elves are their own separate thing.
âThe Void Elves were a case where we didnât want the Allied Races to be something you were always familiar with before. We wanted to introduce new ideas, and new opportunities,â Steve Danuser.
High Elves are not a new idea, and are exacly something the players were familiar before.
Everything High Elves were doing in the Alliance previously, I have seen Void Elves doing equally or better, and while looking cooler.
