Then take a person like that, put him in a community with a vulnerable population.
Lets say someone with autism that needs to correct something that is stated incorrectly.
That person will continue to try and correct the thing that is misstated or misattributed.
The other person will continue to be obtuse about it. But will also continue to try and come off as being sincere.
He’s not succeeding with that with his fake wiki contributor RP. Somebody that contributes to a Wiki would tell you what they contributed. Also, it’s not a major accomplishment since literally anybody in the world can do it.
But he’ll keep doing it, because if you get upset and need to correct him and it gives you any kind of cognitive dissonance, he’ll derive pleasure from it.
Sometimes it’s just the case of focusing on the right arguments.
Case in point:
I’d suggest quoting it but making an observation that it’s an outdated concept. Like: “It’s said they do not gather in significant numbers, but the rise of the Silver Covenant could mean some of them did manage to organize themselves”.
Another issue is that the next paragraph directly after it mentions Vereesa and the Silver Covenant. Hmm…this may take an administrator’s approval to adjust…, I feel anything done would likely be reverted fairly quickly.
Edit: I can still try something small though. Let me see
I’m very unsure of my english. I know it’s not that bad, but I’m not really fluent in it. I hate re-reading my old posts because I always find a lot of mistakes or weird phrases that I could have written better.
also the silver covenant are indeed a militia. they left quel’thalas with nothing but the clothes on their backs and tails between their legs. they have no army or country backing them
they are literally only ever shown as a bolstering force for the allainces real army or keeping portals open
They are their own army and part of the Alliance forces.
A militant core of high elves that rejects the admission of blood elves into the Kirin Tor. They’ve united under the banner of Vereesa Windrunner and joined the Alliance forces in Northrend.
a military force that is raised from the civil population to supplement a regular army in an emergency.
a military force that engages in rebel or terrorist activities in opposition to a regular army.
all able-bodied civilians eligible by law for military service.
they are for all intents and purposes a flavor NPC militia
I’ve literally no idea how to tackle that article in the high elf section. It is a direct quote, word for word, from the encyclopedia, which itself is not allowed to be touched. The paragraph right after it mentions the Silver covenant. It seems almost asinine to mention it twice.
Other than an administrator, i’ll have to say there is not much to be done.
I’m actually reviewing the discussions. This very point came up and was posted about only…well yesterday…which I now find rather suspicious that it was brought up here.
The replies are as expected. If able, I suggest going to the discussion section and scrolling down to the end to read it also. My general analysis is that it is likely not going to be changed.
