Level 120 population watch update:
Zandalari trolls (0.8%) are going to pass highmountain tauren (1.2%) pretty soon.
Kul tirans (0.2%) are still very far away from lightforged draenei (1.2%).

(I love to analyze such numbers and see how it matches my predictions. I’m fairly sure zandalari are going to be the most played allied race in the Horde eventually. Maybe even surpass void elves as the most played allied race).

You’d think after all the things we’ve talked about- unique stances, tattoos, making the models different, just simply making the gap separating Blood elves and High elves greater, YOU’D THINK we were TRYING to make it less about Blood elves and their identity.

Honestly, I think they’re amusing.

It’s not someone’s real thoughts on what the lore actually is. She doesn’t genuinely believe there are 12 High Elves… and if she does, then… that’s even funnier.

If you ever see me engage with her, it’s primarily for the benefit of anyone who might be lurking. Or sometimes I just feel like trashing a weak argument. Whichever.

I’d say remember this, this thread is a testament to a bunch of very passionate individuals that like High Elves, WoW’s Lore and typically all of it’s elvish races.

The handful of trolls that come in here and use the same weak arguments, before attacking High Elf posters aren’t winning anyone over. They’re making our job easier.

They’re really just not that far removed, especially visually.

I get they “could be”. I get that potential is there (although this is still a pretty empty sentiment given a limitless fantasy universe), but as is, right now, they are like staring in a mirror.

Also… shouldn’t the uniqueness of the Blood Elves among the Horde have something to do with their uniqueness?

Blood Mages, Blood Knights, Blood Thistle. Spellbreakers, etc. Are Blood Elves.

I’m sorry the idea of someone on the Alliance playing a fair skinned Elf makes you feel less special. But that’s a personal issue you have.

Having a High Elf on my character roster isn’t going to make my Blood Elves feel less special.

They’re their own group. With their own themes, their own culture, separate from High Elves.

I’m sorry you don’t appreciate it enough.

If your enjoyment of a game is ruined by what others want, then maybe a single-player for you? Because that’s what I’ve been getting from your outrage.
