The Unofficial High Elf Discussion Megathread

You guys should be overjoyed that your demand was adressed. Even if it was met with refusal.

Many much more pressing issues are still being ignored.

You’re willing to speculate on the inclusion of High Elves as an Allied Race.

I want to see you speculate on the reasoning behind adding the other races. Allied or otherwise.

Why would I speculate on races that are not only already in the game but also none are direct carbon copy of a race switching faction?!?!

I’d have to say their resilience, their will to continue despite all their race went through, they remained with their original allies and still fight for them, refused their instinct to sate into fel magic. They’re survivors.

Because you’ve questioned us for the millionth time about why High Elves haven’t been added yet.

Because of your reasoning for High Elves, I’m curious to see your reasoning why the Developers chose the other races.

I’m not sure why you’re so worried about answering this question.

Because none of them blurred the faction divide. Because none of them are straight up copies. Because all of them had meaningful representation in the expansion they were introduced in. Because none of them were actually asked by blizzard?

I guess I’ll narrow it for you. Why were Worgen and Goblins chosen?

How does removing the faction divide make blood elves revert back into high elves?

I dunno man. What I do know is that the player had nothing to do with that decission and that until you unsub with the only reason being that “muh high elves” you’ll be met with refusal and you will only be in denial.

Denial being one of the stages of grief. Maybe sometime you’ll beg for it.

Talk about not knowing lore and things that are part the game.

You apparently didn’t play the game, or at least don’t play Alliance. I think the second, because to think that they are Blood Elf copies and people are asking to play Alliance Blood Elves, and to keep using dismissive arguments and inventing criterias that didn’t applied to other Allied Races, you probably never played Alliance content, and if you did, your bias against that faction became wilfull ignorance.

Good lord, because they think differently doesn’t make them a different race…

Then i would like to understand what makes the Void Elves a different race, or any other Allied Race. You are just inventing a criteria that didn’t existed for other Allied Races,

The void elf got mutated to the point of changing their dna. You can’t say same for high elf/blood elf.

The whole existence of void elf is a way to introduce thalassian without making it a copy of a horde race.

I said it before. The high elf should have been alliance from the start. But they decided to put a pretty race on the horde because… well i guess they had population issues.

DNA doesn’t exist in World of Warcraft. Science doesn’t exist in a computer game, evolution doesn’t exist in WoW, DNA doesn’t exist, atoms doesn’t exist, what exist are sentinent beings and cosmic superpowers that didn’t change your race.

blood elves DID get changed on a genetic level from high elves. When a blood elf child is born it isn’t a high elf. it has the marks of being a blood elf.

This is wilful ignorance, to ignore the lore and the game itself to say that they are the same people.

Gee so i guess since you’re not a blizzard dev, your opinion is totally irrelevant. I can use that flawed logic too.

But genetics doesn’t exist in WoW, a race descent from Titan creations can have children with a race descent from Trolls. Your appereance can be mutated not through genetics but from cosmic powers influence.

I mean they could exist and either way it covers both bases with what I said and what you said.

My theory regarding titan constructs is that due to the titan’s mission to bring life to the universe their constructs are inherently compatible with all sentient lifeforms.

Good that you understanded how flawed your logic is, there’s no science laws in WoW, there’s only cosmic powers, the influence of those makes races change, not evolution.
