The Unofficial High Elf Discussion Megathread

There are people like you that like the voidies, there are people that don’t like them by any mean and wanted High Elves since the beginning, while i and many are in the middle, because liking Void Elves and wanting High Elves is not mutually exclusive.

I too like both Void Elves and High Elves and don’t see any more conflict there than I do with Bronzebeard vs. Dark Iron vs. Wildhammer.

Bronzebeard, Dark Iron, and Wildhammer are all on the same faction. Blood and High Elves are not. This is the source of the conflict.

I have no issues with Lightforged, Dark Iron, Highmountain, and Mag’har because they are all on the same faction as their counterparts. Void Elves and Nightborne have been altered enough to be acceptable on the opposite faction. High Elves do not fit this criteria, which is why I am opposed to them.

But void elves and high elves are.

Male Zandalari also use the night elf skeleton, BTW.

I’ve said already, I don’t care if Horde get kul tiran-based ogres, human pirates from a rogue nation, man’ari eredar or whatever. Give something nice to the Horde, give us high elves.

Because you just want to reject everybody else a White Color Skin Elf Race that isn’t a forced Blue Skin Race or another dull boring blue color scheme race.

Nobody shouldn’t even be forced play Blood Elves and Void Elves. Its the Same with Night Elves and Nightborne.

That’s why I can’t stand Void Elf/Blood Elf Players like yourself who throws a Tantrum over a Race that has been around since Vanilla since the Alliance in General and because you obviously don’t have much respect for actual theme of the Alliance. Why do you think people are getting sick in tried of playing a Blue Skin Elf race. Its dull, pointless and offers nothing unique to the Game nor the Faction nor the Universe in general.

Night Elves were fine as being the First Blue/Purple Race. But once you start adding in more Dark Elf Theme races it gets old really fast. That’s why People want to play High Elves because they want to play something that is iconic, nostalgia, Theme of the Faction, Something original in color, and of course Respect to Medieval Fantasy in General for the Alliance.

Void Elves don’t fit the Actual Theme of the Alliance. What makes you think people will enjoy them now. Because Void Elves don’t offer anything interesting nor so called uniqueness in general. Do people of this modern Era of today is going to respect the old classic tales of Movies/Stories when they say that Twilight, New Star Wars Sequels, or Remake of Lord of the rings Movies will be better and Unique than the old stories that has Heart, Passion, Likable Characters/Races that respects the themes of Fantasy, SCI FI, and etc?

What are you saying We High Elf Fans or Old Alliance Players/RTS Fans shouldn’t talk about why Void Elves are failure to Warcraft Franchise as well as any respect for Medieval Fantasy in general?

That’s why I am opposed/against Void Elves because they offer nothing to the Alliance. If they had a Strong Start just like the Nightborne people would be fine with them. But no. It still doesn’t change the Fact that Void Elves are and still are a forced pulled race that failed to even please anyone. To some new people who don’t care about respecting the Alliance Faction Theme nor Warcraft probably.

But those that do. Are still not happy. Even with forced broken lore of Quel’dorei Features for Void Elves it still wouldn’t change the fact that Void Elves are still a Failure.

Blood Elves have been a playable Horde race for over a decade. High Elves look like Blood Elves, with only their eyes being a different color. This is why they don’t work as a playable Alliance race, and nothing is going to change that.

Zandalari using a Night Elf skeleton is irrelevant, as they look nothing like Night Elves. High Elves are an exact copy of Blood Elves, sans eye color.

I get it, you wish Blood Elves had been made an Alliance race in BC. Well they weren’t, and nothing is going to change that.

I can’t wait for light blue and regular blue haired High Elves.

Well, you don’t really need to post in this thread, do you?

Also, please stop it with the straw man. Nobody here wants playable Blood Elves.

If you’re gonna talk to us at least be polite enough to acknowledge our actual views.

Preach.

Give me something that takes me back to Warcraft II. :blue_heart:

Again same thing with the Night Elves. Been a playable Alliance race for a decade and Nightborne looked like Night Elves.

You continue to ignore the fact that High Elves are more than just a Thalassian Model race with Blue eyes. Same can be said with Void Elves in which Honestly should have never been playable at all since they don’t have any lore figure characters for the Alliance nor anything else to change the current True RTS Elves of WC2 AND WC3. But they do and as of now they still are pointless.

Yea something that has respect for Warcraft 2 and actually race as well than another Blood Elf theme reskin race with other themes of races clustered together with same blue skin color.

That’s exactly what you are asking for. Blood and High Elves are the same race, the only thing that separates them is political views. The Defias bandits may not be loyal to the Alliance, but that doesn’t change the fact they are still human.

As Garrosh Hellscream said:

“Times change.”

Yet Defias Bandits still hates the Alliance. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be playable on the Horde. Same can be said for High Elves. Just because their the same race doesn’t mean they only have political views that separates them.

This is pointless excuses after another excuse.

Now your not being serious. Your just being a Troll. 0/10

No, Horde should not get Defias or any other humans as an allied race.

Dude who cares if they are the same race, if there was no Allied Race system we wouldn’t be asking for them as much as we do, Allied Races do not need to be a different race from their base races. Void Elves are the same race of Blood Elves too, we are asking something in the same line: same race but with modifications.

Now you know how some of Alliance Players feel when people ask for Forsaken or Lightforged Forsaken to be on the Alliance.

Exactly. Allied Races shouldn’t be rejected nor restricted just because they’re the same race. Just because Dark Irons and Zandalari Trolls were made playable doesn’t mean other subraces shouldn’t be Allied Races like Wildhammer Dwarves and Forest Trolls. Same can be said for San’layn and High Elves.

Modify High Elves, and then they are no longer High Elves but something else.

Only that those modifications we ask are visual traits from High Elves in lore that didn’t exist in game.

So visual traits that don’t exist? Because the lore is quite clear that High Elves are easily mistaken for Blood Elves.

They would still called Quel’dorei. You don’t see Blood Elves within Warcraft Lore calling themselves Quel’dorei High Elves within the Horde.

Ahh no. You don’t see High Elves working with the Blood Elves since they are officially allied with the Horde and the Horde kills High Elves or Remaining Quel’dorei who aren’t part of their society nor faction.
