It’s a signal that character customization is lacking, the devs themselves said that the Allied Race system would help on that, well i’m waiting for it to do what it was meant to do.

Blood Elves are uncorrupted; the Sunwell has been restored and the fel taint from their eyes has been removed. Lorewise most should have gold eyes now, the green eye option was just left in for gameplay purposes. The exceptions would be death knights, demon hunters, and possibly warlocks.
We still se new Blood Elf NPCs with Green Eyes in incursions.
Either way, they are filled with one or the other, Fel or Light. High Elves are charged with neither.

- Lorewise only strong Light users get them.
- Blood Elves are still using Fel.
- It has been established that the Light is just as much of a corrupting force as any. Look at the Light Bound.
So no. Blood Elves are not uncorrupted. They just have two flavors of corruption.

Still makes them different from Blood/Void Elves.

But not different enough to warrant them being a playable race. If they were, Blizzard would have given us High Elves instead of Void Elves.

“Different enough” is a matter of perspective. The point is that they are different. From there you can justify any manner of further details that makes them apart.

Yes they are.
They wanted to push the Void angle that Alleria started according to recent interviews.
If High Elves where really meant as a replacement for High Elves then why did the go the extra length to make sure they only came from Blood Elves instead of Followers of Alleria?
Why do they keep adding High Elf NPCs when Void Elves are in desperate need of characters?
Either they did a Horrible job, outright failed, or Void Elves have nothing to do with High Elves other than being related.

I bet that most all of the people saying high elves won’t happen would be saying there’s no way Alliance would never get the blood elf model one expansion ago.
I still remember all the people insisting nightborne wouldn’t become playable, specially as a Horde race, as well.

Oh they have plans for High Elves, just not what you think. I’m still convinced most High Elves will be killed before this war is over, and Sylvanas will be directly responsible for it. I believe Vereesa and the Silver Coventant will be killed off in a decisive battle yet to come.
That’s literally impossible and a huge leap in logic that’s based off of nothing but headcanon.

Sylvanas wouldn’t kill them off if given the opportunity? I’m sure you though capitol cities that had been around since Vanilla would never be destroyed either.
