The Unofficial High Elf Discussion Megathread

I didn’t recall the Stormwind humans renaming themselves to Forsaken after the destruction of Lordaeron by the Scourge

if that is how it works than I have to ask why are those that want ogres not satisfied with mag’har or why are those that want forest trolls not satisfied with zandalari?

Just because something is similar does not mean that it is what they want.

No
They still call themselves Quel’dorei
Even Elisande who was a shut-in for 10 thousand years calls them Quel’dorei, so you really have no excuse

You really need to stop, you’re just embarrassing yourself at this point. But I suppose the fact you don’t even realize that you are embarrassing yourself or why, explains why you haven’t yet.

Alliance should have got High Elves, Broken, and Vrykul instead of what they received.

Dark Irons are cool though.

So does that mean all Humans are Scourge then after the Sourge Invasion of Lordaeron. Atleast that’s what the logic your going with in terms of still calling yourself a High Elf.

Clearly don’t have much respect for the Sin’dorei Name then ahh.

they should have just let blood elves choose a faction like pandas

That would have made sense to me too. Especially after Lor’themar flirting with the idea.

aye. I agree with all of that. Dark irons are the only good addition compared to the alternatives.

Lightforging should have been an optional questline for all races and the kul tiran models could have been given to normal humans which would also allow it to be spread around more to other human towns and cities. The guards and soldiers would also use them as well.

Yea, the big models could have been the Alliance version of upright Orcs. But they would have had to make a hunched female Orc to make it fair.

I have to agree that Blood Elves being neutral on the Horde x Alliance conflict makes much more sense than them being a exclusive Horde or Alliance race, but in a gameplay perspective it’s not functional, 12 years already and you cannot revert that.
And this thread is not about that, it’s about asking for the High Elves that never took the name of Sin’dorei and are sided with the Alliance to become a playable Allied Race.

Not true. This is why hyperbole is bad…

I can only speak for myself here. I mained an Orc warrior in MoP. Loved the race, hated the skin color. I wanted to be a brown Orc more than anything at that time. I wore the most armor to cover up the green skin I could.

That warrior is now a mag’har as she was always meant to be.

exactly. This isn’t a case of pandaren where they are neutral in their starting zone until you pick a side at the end.

They don’t live together and are already at war with each other.

You got me here, but many High Elf fans do the absolute same thing to their Void Elves, they hide most of their skin as possible and wear High Elven armor roleplaying as High Elves. There are people right here doing that.
You used to do the same thing people on our community do now, you got your uncorrupted orc, nice, hope you are enjoying it, but it’s time for us to get our uncorrupted elves.

yes they are at war with each other. thats why lorthemar let alleria visit the sunwell and not kill her or capture her on sight

I honestly hope you do, as I think personally Void Elves are a poor replacement for what people really want.

you do realize the war started after that right? they didn’t like each other but now since the horde and alliance are at war they are at war with each other.

even then he allowed it because she was such a legendary figure that had been gone long before the blood elves became the blood elves. She was a child of quel’thelas and as he said he wouldn’t deny it to a child of quel’thelas.

Ty for the support! You got the point, the Void Elves are a nice race as their own, but a poor replacement for the High Elves if that was what they planned.

Alleria is a military Hero that was lost in space and not involved in the faction war until after her visit.

Literally every group of High Elves has been at war with the Horde since Vanilla.

Your comparison of how some High Elf fans cover up the blue skin of their Void Elf really hit home for me because I did the same thing with my Orc.

No one should have to do that.
