Not to be that chick but uh… I don’t know if the family and friendly oriented High Elves would be a good add OP especially for the current “MorRaLLy gReY” war themed expansion. Unity just isn’t a thing right now. Better luck next expac?
That quote doesn’t really make sense in that context but you got it
You were being dismissive of every example, not deconstructing. You were also being insulting with the comment I quoted. You aren’t here to genuinely discuss High Elves. You’re here to try and marginalize the reasons players want them.
I never said I was against high elves
I never said you were.
What I said was:
You’re here to try and marginalize the reasons players want them.
Which is exactly what you’ve been trying to do.
No what I’m doing is proving why Vereesa is a boring one dimensional character.
But you’re not. Your using your opinions to be dismissive of reasons why others think she is an interesting character. And thus marginalizing one of the reasons people want High Elves.
Many here find her interesting. But I suppose to you that means we are all just “very easily entertained”.
But you’re not. Your using your opinions to be dismissive of reasons why others think she is an interesting character. And thus marginalizing one of the reasons people want High Elves.
First off, it’s not an opinion. Objectively, she’s a boring character that offers nothing different.
Second, peoples reasons for wanting high elves is a completely separate discussion from Vereesas character.
If your reasons for wanting high elves is because you happen to like a very boring character- well, that’s just a very weak reason.
No it’s a subjective opinion. You find her boring. Many here do not. And again, you’re being dismissive by saying that because one of our reasons might be that we like what you consider a boring character, our reasons are weak.
Plain and simple your opinions on Vereesa are not objective facts, and your dismissive attitude does nothing to help your arguments.
I find her boring, but that’s a moot point:
I still want High-Elves for the Alliance!
And that’s fine we are all welcome to our opinions on this or that character. I find several characters boring myself.
I think true High Elves on the Alliance (and not hard to unlock) would finally settle the faction imbalance favoring the Horde and allow a more true 50/50 split.
So hopefully they arrive for 8.3 or 8.3.5 or whatever.
I’m not sure High Elves would really have much impact in the long term. Sure there will be a few who hop the fence to try them early on, but I doubt most would stay Alliance when they are already well established on the Horde side.
I also don’t think its likely we will see them this xpac at all to be honest.
Perhaps. If we see them in a future expansion then perhaps they arrive as a true, full-fledged race with a zone to their name. I think there’s some unused land in Northern Lordaeron that could fit the bill.
I’d like to see High Elves next xpac, maybe even as a pre-order allied race as void elves were.
Honestly only way faction balance impact from High Elves would happen is if they had a racial on pair or stronger than Blood Elf ones since its tailored to Zul and some Mythic+ and makes them strong anyway, only real big impact at this stage is the RPers who play the Blood Elf for High Elf RP basically, the snowball effect already did its damage after all.
Just because it could’ve impacted it years ago not long after Blood Elves doesn’t mean the same reasons can apply now.
I personally RP my Warrior as a Void Knight, basically a former Blood Knight like you mentioned. She’s dark but still holds the regality she did as a Blood Knight.
Even if they are changing their minds on High Elves, Void Elves still need lots of development and are lacking both in presence and aesthetic.
exactly this. The fact is the majority of high elf players would come from either those already on the alliance or players who have unsubbed from the game and coming back for high elves.
Sure some blood elves would faction transfer but the majority won’t. It is idiotic to believe that more than 30% of blood elves total would faction swap. The math done over a year ago shows that is what it would take to make the faction imbalance worse. Probably more now that the divide has grown significantly.
Most blood elf players want to play horde. They are blood elves because they also want to play a pretty race on the horde. Then there is still a large number that play them because they like the story of the blood elves and what they stand for. Those that play them because they are the closest they have to high elves is extremely low.
Just add them already…
End this…
I have hope that they reveal them on the next Blizzcon, they are avoid talking about them for a long time, maybe they are hiding something?
