They don’t look different at all. Their ears are pointing in a different direction and they have a slightly different color palette. Big whoop Mr. Bias. They are the exact same race as Night Elves.
All of those same kind of tweaks could happen for High Elves too.
Their Cultures are completely different and the only thing thats alike is their Hair Color (Though they have natural Blue Hair) and Skin Color (But not even the exact same Skin Colors).
What exactly distinguished the Kul Tirans before Blizzard decided to make them an Allied Race?
Every Allied race got a makeover. Darkirons used to be coal black Dwarves before they added Burning Hair and Tattoos.
They off a completely different fantasy to Blood Elves and Void Elves and have been Alliance characters since the Alliance first formed.
In WoW they have played a large part in the Alliance story and continue to do so.
They are firmly established as an Alliance race and fit the criteria for and Allied Race better than any other option.
Yeah, they do look different but whatever. And you already got elves that look like blood elves with different skin types and hair so doubt they’d add another for you.
do you have an image of a highelf that looks as different as you say? Clearly, they must look far different from bloodelves, more so than nightborne look from night elves.
How am I putting words in your mouth? You specifically said the only thing that’s the same is hair color and skin color. I was expecting you to provide a name of someone who had different height, posture, weight, facial features, etc. Alleria is also the leader of the void elves.
My point was, can this race be aesthetically different from the ones that already exist on the horde, and be different enough from void elves. I can’t see it.
Arcane tattoos, war paint, Braided hair with wooden and feathered jewelry, paler skin, different hair colors, A more robust figure befitting of their peasantry, commoner, and military lifestyles.
You are saying I am saying they are more different then Night Elves from Nightborne. I never said that.
And you know very well Blizzard Copy Paste the same builds onto everyone until they have too.
She also looks exactly the same she did as a High Elf and still is a High Elf just with Void Powers.
Even if you don’t believe she is a High Elf, for the first part of her appearance in WoW she was.
Their current differences are Blue/Purple Eyes, Some Different Hair Colors, and their Skin is Undertone Blue as opposed to the Blood Elves undertone Red.
If they are made an Allied Race they would get new Haircuts and customizations by default. They can change the Build like they did for Nightborne or go with a Night Elf model and make it more High Elf like.
They can take the current differences and make them more exaggerated.
They can give them new animations.
They can have Tattoos like Alleria, be more Muscular because they are more outdoorsy then Blood Elves, and have a more Ranger based aesthetic. These are based off of existing lore FYI.
Also there is at least one that is basically a “black” Elf
I really want High Elves so badly. I really want make a Ashe Ranger Elf type of Character from League of Legends. As well as Link type Ranger from Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.
Agree on that we just don’t know if more VE’s can be made, but I still think its noteworthy that VE’s are using HE aesthetics, even if its just in the sense that they are overlapping when it comes to placement and they could end up being interchangeable
I think we’ll have to wait and see. We’re seeing Void Elves in the 7th Legion now, which as I’ve said before, isn’t really surprising in the slightest since they’ve been working with the 7th Legion throughout the 8.0 War Campaign.
Of course joining the 7th Legion does entail meeting the uniform code. Less purple, more blue.
so now that the sunwell is purified what is stopping high elves from joining the blood elves? and what exactly do they tap into to keep from withering without the sunwell?
also now that the sunwell is purified what is the difference between a blood elf and a high elf besides affiliated splinter factions?
You do not become wretched by not taking in magic. You become a Wretched from Overdosing on Arcane.
Blood Elves became withered because the Mana Tap spell made them hunger for more and more magic.
They still have that hunger but they have an infinite supply with the new Sunwell.
High Elves learned to do without magic and syphoned magical objects. Some even removed their addiction to Arcane.
Thus Blood Elves need to use the Sunwell a lot more and High Elves don’t. This is why you are seeing Golden Eyes in the Blood Elves but not the High Elves.
Even Ion said their relation to the Sunwell is different.
Physically Blood Elves are either still Fel Tainted or ‘Light Tainted’.
Politically and culturally they are almost exact opposites of each other.
One does whatever it takes to survive and one upholds their ideals at any cost.
One uses magic in excess and one uses it conservitavely.
One is a bit more of a City Elf and the other is a bit more Woodsy.
One believes in sticking with their allies and one is an isolationist that has to have help.
These things alone lead to many differences and could lead to more if explored.
yes. Light tainted. Light is not a force of pure good anymore. It is simply another cosmic power just like all the other meta forms of magic. It has agendas and goals. It doesn’t care about what we think and feel. If we are in the way it will try to remove us.
