Then there would be threads about it. Think Kul Tiran Mages on a larger scale.
There is also nothing stopping them from adding them after the fact.

I mean to be fair we haven’t really seen any high elf paladins so it doesn’t really matter.
The obvious high elf classes would be mage, Hunter, warrior, Rogue and priest (Death knight too but none of the AR have the option). The rest would have to be made up new lore I guess but even with just those 5-6 classes available I wouldnt mind.
I don’t think it’s necessary but it would be nice (more is more). People go out of their way to find things to make them different from blood elves and void elves, but they don’t need to be changed drastically in visuals or even classes, they can stand on their own without anything too much different from what we see from them already.
Don’t forget monks
I honestly forget that class even exists lol =P
This is pretty much everything I’ve gathered for High Elf classes.
I agree, these two races would be the best additions for the Alliance! A third place for me would be the Broken, or better yet the Krokul.
aye. They are going to lose warlock, paladin, and perhaps mage and priest but in exchange they gain druid.
aye. I fully expect allied race death knights when we get Wrath 2.0 in the near future likely the next expansion or the one after. Death knights will get their full starting experience remade with perhaps adding necromancer as a new hero class that shares the zone with them as well as being part of the ebon blade.
Though I would hope seeing as this would be a new generation of death knights that they would give something special for pre existing death knights. A unique appearance, title, or transmog.
It’s just a shame they didn’t implement them for the ARs we already got. All they had to do was disable the ability to unlock the heritage armor on hero classes.
There are no towns or quest hubs for a third faction, every zone in the game would need to be reworked to include the new faction.
As for leveling to max then switching to a new faction, it would be very few people leaving their guilds and friends just to be in that new faction.
well if they are considering taking away faction barriers entirely, the amount of work necessary would be on par, perhaps worse, since players would expect to be able to do the quests of former enemy factions - since they’re all friends now.
do the rep work, get access to it on a new elf character.
If they were considering getting rid of the faction barrier there would be no need for a third faction as there would be no factions at that point anyway.
Spoiler alert: the faction are not going away any time soon.
people are speculating the reason why the horde are just getting more and more populated at endgame and alliance is being basically shafted for endgame content, is because the plan is to correct it by making it possible for us to quest and do raids and dungeons together - removing faction barriers.
i’d rather they make a third elf faction, which would draw belves from horde (the largest population in the game - all on horde), balancing out the factions.
then when zandalaris are ready, some of the elves will leave elfdom to be a zanda, thus balancing the elf faction (which would otherwise be so overpopulated both the horde and alliance would be buried in elves). all three factions would be experiencing similar endgame experiences at that point. otherwise, its just horde horde horde to the end of the game.
I think High Elves coming sooner then later, a lot and I mean a lot of Alliance going horde for Zandalari soo cool, been requested for year!
Kul’tirans, no one asked for them, they are fat,p and ridiculous, they should just be a customisation option like Orcs with posture for humans.
High Elves will make the world balanced!
which is another argument being used to prove we are gonna be factionless soon. cause they keep trying to urge everyone to play horde, by giving them the best racials, the best allied races, even the options for kul’tirans are nothing compared to zandalaris.
I’ll be honest I don’t use racials haha another button to press >.>.
But visually Zandalari are the best out of all Allied Races, Horde and Alliance.
not just visually, they also are famous in lore and have some decent racials.
if we dont either: 1) get a third elf faction or 2) get actual high elves/half elves on alliance or 3) become factionless, the game is over for alliance the minute zandalaris go live.
I agree 100%, like I’ve said I play both Horde and Alliance, and half the Alliance guild is going Zandalari, especially for Paladins.
i’m concerned the devs are gonna fart around with this too long and destroy the game.
