And in the Three Sisters comic, she and Turalyon touch without issue. Seems likely that she learned a way to control the void to make touching someone infused with the light a non-painful experience for both of them.
With how much the void is getting attention now, I wonder if Blizzard will eventually make a proper shadow-based classâŚ
Were it up to me, Iâd make a mobile mail class with three specs:
- Dark Warden: Melee tank. Heavily based on WC3 Warden class. Summons spirits of vengeance, teleports around, spreads AoE to keep aggro and stuff like that.
- Umbral Ranger: Ranged DPS. A dark ranger-esque class that uses void instead of necromantic powers. Also teleports around, uses ranged weapons, summon shadowy minions.
- Shadow Hunter: Healer. Partially based on shadow hunter and witch doctor with some concepts from the witches of Drustvar (but using void instead of death magics). Uses wards and curses (thought I admit I have no idea of how to make them different enough from shamans or warlocks).
Races that could potentially be it: night elves, void elves, dark iron dwarves, trolls, undead, zandalari
I always took that âher touch burns himâ as something caused by her usage of the void at that moment, as well as her lack of control over it.
That sounds like an amazing Class idea. Would love to see it to be honest.
I love this class idea. It would perfectly fill in the niche classes that currently canât stand on their own as fully independent ones. This along with tinker and necromancer is what I hope for to be added at some point.
Dropping by to say High Elves would be really cool on the alliance
Hopefully we get them some day!
I think a half elf allied race that looks like Kalecgosâ model would be cooler than High elves. Looking through this thread I am surprised at how many people seem to want High elves, the Blood elves and Void elves all look exactly the same with just a difference in skin color. Maybe Iâm just missing something.
I donât agree that they should look like Kalec, but rather Iâd like them to get a new model and Kalec and Arathor use that. Kalecâs model is just a human with a unique face texture. Thereâs nothing else different about him compared to a human, and frankly, if we ever get High Elves or Half Elves, I donât want them to be steroid junkies 3.0. We already have that twice over with standard humans and soon Kultirans.
Thatâs true. I just looked up Kalecgosâ model and he is pretty bulky. For some reason I always thought he was really slim. I donât think Iâll ever get used to how ridiculous the human model is in WoW.
Yea itâs why I donât have any human male characters currently. Between the steroid junkie bodies and the faces that look 40-50+ years old, they just arenât aesthetically appealing. And then of course when we finally get a new human race (Kultirans), Blizzard decides that beer guts and binge eaters are a good aesthetic -_-
yes. you are missing something. The story, lore, and culture attached to them.
They could also make âVoid-lightâ which is a cool thing from Destiny. Something similar would be cool for void elf paladins and other races that get void knights. Class reskins could also be a thing if they wanted. Think green fire quest line but for who spellkits.
Pandaren were a one-off joke quest from Warcraft 3 and a literal April Foolâs joke until Chris Metzen announced Mists of Pandaria in 2011. They can make anything work if there is enough demand for it at this point in the gameâs life.
Iâm not the biggest fan of Elves, but I think people should have the option to play High Elves on Alliance if they want to.
If Half Elves were a thing. They should atleast have some High Elf Options like War Paint Tattoos, Different Eye Color, Ear Options, Color Skin, Silver/Wood Elf Jewelry, Hair Styles/Hair Color and beards.
Through in the Lore there hasnât been a lot of Half Elves. Just the 3 characters we know like Alleria and Vereesaâs Kids so far. Kalec is Half Elf/Human but He looks more Human than Half Elf atleast in the game.
IMO the real appeal of High Elves is their history, which is linked to their present place in the alliance. Thereâs a lot of background that they share with Blood Elves, obviously, but at the end of the day, itâs really about their unique context as a remnant of a race that âswitchedâ sides. Itâs an interest place to be as a group, a contrast between what was, the nostalgia involved on it, and what it is now, all the change that the world has gone through.
Mind you, I agree that Half Elves have more potential overall, cause I feel they can actually move the High Elf lore in the alliance forward, build up on them, be that legacy, while not actually having the perceived downsides of High Elves being to similar to a core Horde race.
Personally, I am all for Half Elves if they are meant as the narrative continuation of the High Elves in the Alliance -like for example the Silver Covenant becoming a faction of both HE and Half-Elves, where the Half Elf player is a new member after the SC starts welcoming everyone with elven heritage. Weâd have High Elves as NPCâs as trainers and quest givers, the SC still lead by Vereesa, Arator probably with a larger role, etc. It could work much like cursed and regular Gilneans are the same faction and act together, but only Worgen are playable.
Ill be honest Iâm not 100% onboard for Half Elves, I think after 14 years the least Blizzard could do is give us, pure blood High Elves, Quelâdorei.
To be honest pure blooded HEâs t be has never been even remotely a consideration for why I want playable High Elves so IDK. I feel like Half Elves can carry the legacy of the High Elves, thus are a good way to continue that story.
If whatâs coming for the HE story is that their bloodline has been merged with humanity, I am 100% on board with it. Itâs an interesting story and it has been alluded in game already, and addresses the notion that High Elves on their own are not a viable people anymore.
Like yes, I would be thrilled with just playable High Elves, but I also believe that Half Elves have a lot of potential as a concept on their own AND as the legacy of the High Elves, maybe even more raw potential than High Elves have on their own.
Half Elves donât really exist as their own group.
They arenât large amounts of half elves doing their own thing.
The kind of story youâre talking about could happen but it would be years down the line when there are enough of them who have also formed a group.
Population numbers are irrelevant to whether or not they can be an Allied Race. Thereâs like what 12 Void Elves?
Iâm just saying after 14 years I donât want another compromise, like how we got void elves⌠as a compromise.
Iâm all for all races, just give us High Elves and another Allied Race Half Elves and Iâm all good, just I donât think I can handle another compromise lol especially when Blizzard is behind it.
Not sure if I can handle being broken hearted again
