The Unofficial Fyr’lath RNG post

That is how it works. We just don’t know what x is.

Do people here actually know how a cumulative distribution function actually works? How when n (number of events) approaches infinity (or whatever the upper bound is), the probability of a successful event equals 1?

Because this is the ONLY thing that is keeping the raid going at the moment.

Random number be doing random number things.

Didn’t get it this week. I am at 11 greaters and 21 lessers.

Even if I got the legendary I already have a 95.8% parse average for heroic so its not like it would even get me much higher.

I finally got it yesturday. Sorry to say fellas but aside from the horrible RNG crap , the questline is like a 5-7 hour sink. 5 min cds on quest items for 5% quest prog etc. HORRIBLE DESIGN
5 mins to use the item to see what items to buy, then 5 mins to use the item to use the items i bought to create what u need, then 5 mins to use what u need and 5 more mins to see whats next and so on.

I wouldn’t mind doing something that takes 5-7 hours to do the quest but when we can’t even get the item that starts the quest that is bad.

same here i wouldnt mind doing it if the RNG to get it wasnt so bad to start

I got the mount drop last week which seems to be rarer than the legendary. I seen way more of those axes drop to other people than the mount and everyone is able to get the mount.

Mount would ease the sting but doesn’t make it go away.

23 lesser and 12 greaters still no ax.

Update, my friend finally got it and now he’s able to compete with me on the meters.
Proud of him. But I wish the quest to make it usable wasn’t so annoying to get done.

Got it today.

Gotta say… that quest was the least fun thing i have ever done in this game.

Didn’t get axe again. I am at 23 lessers and 12 greater.

Doesn’t seem like it will ever drop.

I haven’t gotten it yet on my DK so I haven’t experienced the quest first hand, but my reading of it makes me facepalm on how bad it is.

Since the raid axe isnt manditory for pvp and getting mindcontrolled/feared/knocked back/teliported to Narnia during its channel cast would make me want to uninstall, I dont even do the raid.

Disagree on the house always winning in the end.

This sort of skill-less RNG thing just angers people if they happen to be in the unlucky portion of the bell curve. Angry customers is not a win.

So I finally got the Axe last week. Did the quest etc and moved forward in the game . Since I got it, I got invited to M+ groups more so and am now 3400 IO.

My damage has spiked . Not just a little but , by a substantial amount . I’m keeping up with Bm hunters and DHs almost . So yes , this just further increased my belief that we are tuned around it .

Now, aside from the horrible RNG around it dropping, the quest for it were actually annoying as hell. 5 min cds on quest items for god knows what reason etc and much more issues . HOWEVER, dunno if it was intentional or not or just overall missed by Blizzard but there are ways to simplify the quests . So listen up -

For the rare farm - your best and fastest option is farming the Frenzied Lasher (forgot its exact name) in the Emerald Frenzy event .

The Superbloom farm , just get friends to help and the buff indicator is bugged so it won’t show exactly how much %% increase you have but yeh.

Save your purples to disenchant for the next part . Any current purples work.

For the 4th part with stabilizing the energy , buy about 100 of each awakened because it’s random , go to the proving grounds and do the quest there so you can reset the timer on the quest item needed.

Imagine going to the casino and asking for bad luck protection lol

Yeah I’m really salted that I don’t have it yet i have 11 H full clears 27 lesser embers and I want it to push higher keys and raid I have more progression in both than most people I see with it like I would like to actually have fun with it b4 the patch is over….

You don’t need current purples, you can run old Firelands raids and just go ham on those.

Maybe the game shouldn’t feel like a Casino?
