The true end of automated multiboxing is upon us

Since Blizz has access to all the back-end information, I’m more inclined to believe the outcome of their investigation rather than believing things on the internet by people who have reasons to cry wolf about being a victim.

The thing is we don’t actually know what it can detect. :no_good_woman:

I’m married to this person this happened to and I know what kind of person he is (obviously) and what he has on his computer. I’m not going into more detail because of the forum rules.

I’m just warning other boxers out there if they’re reading this that they will get you one way or the other.

I can run 1 account per computer.
I have 15 computers capable of running WoW. with 15 keyboards and mice.
will be hard at first but some people will still get the ONE shot.

Ah makes sense. Is it possible they had software running in the background not being used or it was regarding a previous incident they don’t remember?

At any rate, yes those who choose to circumvent the rules in any way are throwing caution to the wind. I hope your warning hits home for some of them before they lose a valued account.

Edit: I hope that in the case that your SO was one of the small percentage who have been falsely banned that it gets worked out.

Lets say you’re using 5 pcs all connected to one keyboard/mouse combo

How would it even detect that, there’s zero chance, it just looks like a mouse and keyboard.

I mean, i could come up with extremely convoluted ways to do things, like multiple gamepads and some engineering of popsicle sticks.

Says right there in their post…
This change does not make Multiboxing against the EULA .
It’s not dead.

This saves me money on having to buy multiple computers.

No, he wasn’t running anything or using any special hardware. ISBoxer was uninstalled when Blizzard said to uninstall it. The action against him was months later.

Look, I get it. I used to be you (“suuuuuure you did nothing wrong”) until I seen it happen with my own eyes.

Edit: anyways, I’m going to stop. To others out there stop boxing. Trust me.

The harder they make it to actually multibox, the better.

Time :crab: To :crab: Crab :crab: Rave! :crab:

I wonder if ISBoxer leaves anything on the computer that Warden is able to detect that isn’t washed with the uninstaller? At any rate that would be alarming, what you do while WoW is closed is your own business. Fingers crossed you get some kind of resolution.

However they go about detecting it I’m just glad they finally are.

No, I doubt it, isboxer is a pretty legit thing.

They even shut down the ability to use it with wow around the same time iirc.

They don’t allow keystroke broadcasting for games that don’t allow it (like FFXIV, they don’t allow broadcasting)

I’m just worried they’re not actually able to detect, it seems pretty sketch.

And blizz has a history of false positives, they’ve even had to unban swathes of people because of it.

Oh I didn’t mean that it was some kind of malware or anything left behind. Just some unused files or something, but still that circles me back to the point that anything you do while it’s closed is your own business. I can’t speak to Tovi’s SO, no way for me to know aside from what I’ve been told. Basically just me thinking out loud.

Next I hope there is some kind of work towards the botting and farming side. The current program of dealing with them could use some work.

Yea, that would be like them banning me for autohotkey because I use it with poe where it is allowed.

It’s not too difficult to read a machine’s connected devices, ala Device Manager. From my understanding it’s actually standard procedure for anticheat software.

Good. Maybe Farming herbs will be worthwhile sometime soon.

But see, it would just look like a keyboard/mouse connected, nothing weird.
