The true end of automated multiboxing is upon us

Then youre part of the problem.

no difference in that than dumping TIME /played into the game when others cant.
its a game…play it …or dont.

if it kills bots, Im all for it…sorry if it screws over boxers with tens of thousands in hardware, though.
Blizzard doesnt even revert changes they make knee jerk when its obvious it did nothing to even slow the bots down…so theres no reason to think even if this does nothing against bots that its not also a jab at boxers as well…

Let’s play the worlds smallest violin for multi boxers

The best part is when they bragged about paying for their accounts while abusing herb node spawns. Then had the audacity to make “Multi-boxing positivity threads” where they told everyone they were actually good for the economy and were helping keep prices low! Yay! Meanwhile average joe player can’t make a dime farming because these exploiters had the market cornered.

I made quite a bit of gold as a solo player farming herbs :man_shrugging:

As a herb farmer, let me say …

YAY!

IF theres one thing that isn’t affected, its ore/herb farming

Yeah, and we should be allowed to buy any gear, mounts, pets, achievements, etc that we want.

Since a large chunk of my toons are miners/herbalists already, sure XD

i think it’s 50/50 whether GD starts calling for alts to be banned or for druids to be deleted

If ending multi-boxing falls into your definition of , “part of the problem”, then I’m happy to be part of the problem.

Ditto. Seriously.

I meant in the grander scheme. The money for your account still came from somewhere, you just didn’t have to see it personally.

what if … they create some script to automate each external wow “box” (each window of the game) … can the wow client avoid this?

And you do not think that Blizzard cannot just remove the delays and compare the keystrokes? You do not think that Blizzard can slice up a phase and see which characters in that phase are all receiving the same keystrokes.

Do you not think they can focus their efforts on characters that do not group with other characters, or play extended durations, or stay in a fixed area or constantly vendor items. I would prioritize characters that fit that profile.

Or go backwards look for characters that frequently receive gold or goods from multiple sources. Then investigate those characters for suspicious activity… see if they all spend time in the same area farming at the same time. From that list of suspicious characters look for common keystrokes, etc.

Blizzard can do all of this without relying on reports.

Would be nearly indistinguishable from a human being at that point. It’s a lot of effort but could be done.

The rest of your post has nothing to do with multiboxing though.

nice straw man…

Yes I think you are right, I was just being snarky.

Blizzard almost certainly made this decision based on their own data about how MBing affects the game. But anyway, who knows. I don’t think most people here care why, they are just glad it happened.
