The top guild on my server was busted for using Bots

I follow a lot of the top raid guilds on my server and I don’t want to leak which guild or who was involved (Against Forum ToS) but the top guild was caught using bots.

This is a guild that many of you can find in Warcraft Logs, they have a stacked min/max roster and used to play Private Servers and this same crew of people were using bots to farm nodes for raid mats/AH manipulation as well as using them to generate passive gold in order to fund their guild’s mains and alts so they can always be a realm first guild on our server.

This is a PSA to people to let them know that bots are not only owned by gold sellers, they are owned by the guilds on your own servers as well.

To setup a bot and create multiple is very cheap and countries like China for example have been able to mass produce bots in games like Lost Ark or New World and the same can be said about WoW which probably had the most bots out of any MMO due to it’s huge audience.

Just remember when you think Classic WoW is already an overly exploited P2W Bot paradise that the top players in your own realm have a hand in those bots too :+1:

Thank you for this unfalsifiable anecdote which is totally real and totally not a pretext for yet another pointless thread.

Keep digging your head in the sand, it’s worked for everyone else in the community

Hey look, more negative posts from LFD

Yeah this is the same low effort troll that was trying to bait people “retail has more raiders” when TBC probably has 5x the amount.

It’s not negative when it’s just reality, I know reality can be negative but that’s what happens when people close their eyes and ears to corruption.

Classic is dead compared to Retail, literally google Classic streamers/YTbers and it gets less views than the bottom D list Retail streamer lmao

I did gank some characters last night outside steamvaults who looked like real people at first but I soon realized, it was all mages running the same exact path, and when they died they ressed farther away instead of closer to the goal like an active player would…

And then I saw the same pattern with leveling mages walking into sp, cutting the same inhuman awkward path.
Entire cycle of gold farm mages right there.

So anyway yeah, botting is alive and well.

Stop making all this crap up because you suck at the game

There was some evidence of this type of stuff with regard to PvP brackets back in Classic. Low level bots were killing each other near lowbie zone graveyards to buff the brackets. All signs pointed to them being player run.

Players paid hackers with bought gold to level them in dungeons.

Assuming the OP is true, would anyone really be surprised? The amount of gold trading hands would seem to indicate there is no limit on player depravity and apathy where these kinds of activities are concerned. The ends justify the means is the community motto.

Keep digging your head deeper in the sand little one, once your RMT customers get banned you’ll get banned next for taking their RMT gold

It’s a very popular tactic in KMMOs as well, people have been doing this for a very long time so the only ones surprised by this are newbies or people botting themselves.

its been a thing since wow release. blizzard isnt going to cut 20-30% of his traffic for the community that just doesnt make sense money wise.

A lot of people thought they did but they didnt.

If even 10k bots exist on something like Bene, that 10,000 x $15, they’re walking away with 150k USD a month.

No chance in hell they ban bots which only makes people bolder to keep botting :man_shrugging:

you just need to delete that info from your brain and you will enjoy the game more.

Not surprised. People are so fast to min max a 15yr old game and suck all the fun they can out of it.

I can probably replace your raid spot with enough gold :man_shrugging:

Thieves have no honor amongst themselves and someone like you who openly accepts RMT gold to boost people should know that better than anyone else.

But… isn’t your entire post about them “busting” an entire guild for using bots?

Also, regardless of what conspiracies you may have, Blizzard has come out on record many times that they don’t necessarily make money off bots:

If you cant even find a guild and only focus on other people then complain constantly maybe you shouldnt be playing this game haha

Blizzard Translation:

Yeah we make like a cool 200 - 300k USD a month off bots and a lot of people run them daily, but it’s cool cause we’re not really making that money but another department within our company is.
