The terrible maths of the M+ loot nerfs

I can easily instill that in someone in a way that it seems to them, like it was there all along. It takes practice, like anything.

You projecting your petty little prejudices on me is pretty funny. Also sad.

Is that why you think people play alts? Because they feel they don’t have ‘enough’ to do? Weird, because I play alts because I enjoy the other classes because they’re fun to play.

Do you think that’s a prejudice? No, it’s a policy. It is primarily used for schools so to ensure that every student gets a proper education. We’re playing a video game, there is no such obligation for the raid leader to school every player on their team, they aren’t paid civil servants, they are there to enjoy the game like everyone else on the team and while they may be partially responsible in fostering a good environment, it is not their responsibility to teach people how to play the game when at that level.

You don’t just apply to be on the NFL teams because you think you might want to play football then blame the coach for not making you into a star player, just like most people definitely wouldn’t start learning how to play the game in a Mythic raid environment and blame the raid lead for not teaching them.

Takes one to know one, eh? Are you a “stable genius”, too? Seems more like you’re having a tantrum right here for all to see, which would make you by definition unstable.

Well, this thread devolved pretty fast.

These changes are absolutely garbage. Leave it to Blizzard to stumble onto something good and do their best to mess it up.

Of course they revert the change for crafting gear 'cause that’s a gold sink and it makes them money. Always one step forward two steps back with this company.

I guess we can forget about rolling alts later in the season and getting anywhere close to having respectable gear with missed vaults, the increased myth/hero tracks disparity, and huge crest grinds.

Why does gear matter if you’re not doing anything important?
If playing for gear, just wait till a later expansion.

Meanwhile, if there’s more power to get, you can nerf encounters without waiting for the mighty hand of Blizzard.

Mountain out of a molehill, if you’re rolling a brand new character late in the season, you still need to do the same amount of grinding for a Crest as someone who has been playing the entire season but you won’t be time gated on them.

Hero path gear is still a respectable item level, Myth track item level is just slowly nerfing content with player power creep. Example, most people are not 528-530 ilvl right now. Most people are not even 520 item level (achievable with current Hero path gear). The gap between myth and hero track gear has zero bearing on players that aren’t even using Hero track gear.

Only exception is when said DPS is fulfilling an important role specific to the fight but otherwise very true.

That is a good question. If TWW is supposed to be a mini expansion than the season should be short in theory then what is the point of increasing the grind in shortened seasons and a shortened expansion? Seems to me to be punishing M+ that play differently.

If this is BlizZard’s way to try to funnel players to Mythic raiding well that is a pretty arrogant way to do that.

No serious mythic guild will keep people on the roster who only log in to raid and nothing else, if they want to actually get CE.

So the entire TEAM has to fail because one or two people can’t or won’t get better? Thank God your a natural born follower/excuse maker

Game already has a problem with meta chasing. I don’t think they need to make it even easier to chase meta. If it takes X hours to gear character 1, I see no good reason that character 2 should require less than X hours.

I can understand arguments that X might be too high or too low though.

So just make mythic heroic because you are bad at the game?

This isn’t, hasn’t and has never been a thing.

You could only get 90 Aspects/Week. Assume the Mythic+ player will not touch Mythic Raid; their only source of Myth items is Great Vault.

Week 1 you would save your aspects for a Crafted Piece; 60/90 Used. Space to Upgrade 2 Items on 4/6 Hero 1/4 Myth–6 Levels. There are 16 Item slots. Sake of the argument, we will assume 4 Crafted Pieces will be used, that leaves 12 items to Upgrade.

Will take at least 12 weeks of perfect Vaults to max gear

I will elaborate further if you want to be contrarian, but you will hopefully be able to realize that your example is a hugely dishonest exaggeration
