The TBC Classic Community wants Dual Spec

Because your choice matters in a Role playing Game. Your character should not able to morph into anything you want it to every other minute. Changing your specialization should have restrictions (time(cooldown)/Journey,Travel(major city trainer)/investment(gold).

In fact if it was up to me i Would make the class trainers for respeccing not be in the major cities but out in the world in different areas ( areas where you would have to kill some mobs at least to get to).

I think your idea is good and a cooldown is a good compromise to the problem.

How? How would ds negatively affect everyone?

I asked around on a few servers about willie; and the overwhelming majority of the people in game responded with “who?”

The two responses I got back regarding him was displeasure in regard to his videos. Just seems like no one watches his videos.

Personally I like some of his content, but that just shows me how disconnected the game community is from the Forum & influencers.

That little ask around just changed how I’m getting information from this point forward.

If it was up to you, then this game would be trash.

Let’s not pretend that QoL changes aren’t needed to classic. Anyone who says otherwise is just being difficult for the sake of argument.

There are a LOT of good changes that happened even to this day in WoW that the very vocal minority complain about, but who also take advantage of.

Instant mail to alts, summon stones, shared achievements, mount journal, pet journal, dual spec, reagent bank, increased item per slot amounts (cloth etc.)

These don’t detract from the game, just make the unnecessary “oh I need to go back to this place really far out of the way and spend 20 minutes coming back” situations disappear.

Not asking for all of this to come back, but let’s cut the crap and be honest that all of those features and likely more only made the game better.

pretty much. id like to get potions stack size increased to 20 but classic andys are treading water in a pool of their own tears over the changes already. the post i made asking for it had pretty significant pushback from them.

stack size of 5 on potions is just stupid

Exactly my sentiment!

No, im saying that there’s enough gold generation your argument is invalid. You have plenty of freedom, when you generate up to 10k gold 60-70. Generate upwards of 150g per day. And that you have gold generation thats 3-4x that of classic.

50g doesnt matter.

This is literally not true. The community has a dang good idea of what they want. 90% of the player base agrees that the game was golden up until WotLK.
Pretty straightforward honestly. You must be living under a rock.

i support dual spec and i never took one of those surveys… so count me as 21001.

dual spec in TBC or bust!

Sure, for 50g and a trip to town.

If I lined up 10 players and said there is 10,000 gold between these 10 players, you might think its 1000 gold each.

In reality its one player with 7000, two with 1000 and the rest just make up the difference.

Just because “some players” have gold, doesn’t mean they all do.

Dumb argument.

If you just do your daily quests you’re fine.

Gold generation is ridiculous compared to vanilla.

People that wont have at least SOME gold/decent amount are people who just arent trying. Lets be real

Know what would help players do quests, while also do some dungeons or PVP or other things while making the life of players easier? Dual spec my bro.

Does anyone here actually have a single reason that is legit as to why it shouldn’t be added? Like, do any of the nay-sayers want to be the first out that says they wouldn’t use it if it was added? Like wtf are you all even talking about.

Give me one reason why it shouldn’t. Don’t blame the overbloated economy, don’t blame absence of player agency, don’t blame antifun meta’s being formed. All of that exists without it already.

Okay.

Here’s one.

It wasnt implemented until wrath. Its a completely different framework they’d have to add into the coding and make TBC launch happen slower… Cant just take and copy-paste the wrath code and slap it into TBC and make it all hunky-dory. No. That’s a logistical nightmare on blizzards side -at best-

The game runs on the legion engine (or at least a modified legion engine)

They actually can add pretty much everything into the game reasonably easy up to at least legion content.

Dual spec worked primarily by storing your talent information as a numeric variable, and when they added the second talent tree they just extended the range it can include if the perk was unlocked, which they can do without achievement tracking (as they track that internally have stated already even back in TBC)

All that being said, that’s still not an argument against why it shouldn’t exist.

Its the coding from a later version of the game. You do realize they are talking about the CLIENT, not the game itself right?

Legion battle.net client /= the differences between two expansions.

Dude, just stop. You are so freaking oblivious and just reaching for answers so far up your own butt you end up pulling teeth.

You don’t want it? Fine. Don’t buy it when it’s added. Go ahead and stick to your personal values and preach to the world about how you were that one who stuck to his guns and worked so much harder.

Meanwhile I’ll tank, heal and dps for my guild, groups and friends much more easily.

Good grief…

The added difficulty to re-coding dual spec into TBC isnt “reaching” for anything.

If they manage to do it. Cool. Whatever.

They added storing worldbuffs in as an afterthought. I think Blizzard can manage.
