Actually it’s you who doesn’t know what twinks are. Twinks are people who have exceptional gear in comparison to the average gear for the bracket. Strong enchanted heirlooms are included in this listing, if you take a look at the average gear for low level brackets you gain none of those enchants from low level enchanting.
Mailing high level enchants to your alt can be done by anyone it doesn’t make you a twink… it’s called not being lazy af. I’m sorry but your opinion can be safely ignored if you think people that use enchants are automatically twinks.
They are, that’s a statement of fact; since it’s something that’s above that bracket in regards to what you gain from it. If you don’t gain a high enough enchanting level to enchant those things while leveling to 19 then it doesn’t belong in that bracket. It’s like a level 19 being able to use level 60+ weapons, it doesn’t fit into the bracket for the average and is a strong enough enchant that it breaks the bracket for the average player. Please remember that Twinks are the small minority and not the average leveler.
I do not see how any of those enchants could be a game changer & give him an unfair advantage since they all scale down to his character level. You can see what they scale to without even having to mouse over his gear.
+1 vers
+1 vers & +2% speed
+3 all stats
+2 intellect
+4 haste
+1 armor
+2 stam
+1 vers
+1 vers
Which of those +'s do you have a problem with?
All of them, they’re all enchants you don’t gain from leveling enchanting from 1-19 levels; his health pool was 1800 in comparison to my 600. That’s triple the amount of health.
2 stam, +3 all stats. Then you do have all of the gear not available for the average leveler, which would be shoulders, neck, helm(requires 245 engineering, surprise another thing a leveler wouldn’t have) 2 trinkets, and 2 rings which for rings you might get by 19 but requires a bit of luck.
If they’re not an item the average leveler can get for that item slot, I’d consider it so. Since the average leveler cannot get those items, that’s what defines a twink; so yes. Between that helm, the trinkets, shoulders, neck, and enchants that’s an extra 46 stam alone not including the other stats they gain from it. Another 12 if you want to count rings up to 58 But more than likely you’d get at least one ring by 19 and super lucky to get 2.
That would most likely be due to his head piece, not the enchants. I don’t believe those numbers are correct. I haven’t experimented with engineering pieces so I don’t know if they scale down also or not. I would think they do since other pieces also do. This person also has the full VC set & heirlooms. He isn’t going to gain 3x your health pool by adding +5 to stam from enchants. Those numbers are skewed from his engineering head piece.
Eng headpiece is about half of it, sure. But the other slots and enchants all play a part in it. But that helm is what pretty much every xp-off twink gets.
Cheapest currently is 1 gold 40 silver, which is 3 levels above my characters level and outside of current price range anyways. Zero helms for under 19 from the AH, and 2 green shoulders average priced about 200g.
This is one of the twink arguments that I personally find really irritating. The twink community stop gaining experience so that they never have to worry about finding level appropriate gear again and then have the audacity to call other people “lazy”. they portray themselves as teh ones that are “working hard” on their characters, but they are the ones that pressed the proverbial pause button to get off the gearing treadmill. If anyone is lazy, it’s the twinks.
I’m glad the twinks are cut off in their own bracket.
People say they don’t twink to blast through undergeared players, that’s a damn lie. That’s the only reason I twink and I’m one of the GOOD WoW community people.
You keep mentioning the “average leveler” so I will say this - the average player in any sub 120 bg at this point in WoW’s lifespan is fully decked out in heirlooms, full stop. They may not bother with enchants, but anyone who gives half a crap about winning is most definitely in full looms. Your personal refusal to wear looms and thus intentionally gimp your character compared to everyone else who wants to actually win absolutely does not reflect the situation of the “average leveler” I’m sorry to inform you. It’s no wonder some people think twinks are some epidemic if they think everyone with heirlooms is a twink.
Fun fact - I just logged into this character for the 1st time in like ~4 years. My enchants were immediately reduced in power compared to earlier in the thread when I asked people to look at my armory. For example, my enchant on my pants was +10 agi and is now only +4. My gloves were +22 and are now +11. Pretty much a 50-60% power reduction across the board on all my enchants.
Amusingly enough I still have crippling and wound poison buffs active despite Subtlety not having access to poisons anymore.
You don’t have to turn off xp to log on to your main and put some enchants in a mailbox… The person I was responding to legitimately thinks people with heirlooms are twinks.
Ok, so you switched the goal post. My question was specific: What ENCHANTS would give an unfair advantage. Just because he cannot make the enchant at that level doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be allowed to use it. Clearly this person has alts that can help his twink. I did not ask what GEAR did you think was unfair. I wanted to know only about the enchants. I do not see any enchants on this toon that are unreasonable.
The VC set isn’t that hard to get. There is only one piece that was a semi-rare drop. I have collected & sold the set like 3 times without even trying. There is actually (or was) a green armor piece that was better than one of the Defias pieces & it dropped from a quest in Elwynn Forest. That was many moons ago, I don’t know if the quest is even there any more.
